"Poldark" star Aidan Turner ( possible new Bond contender ?). In Poldark
He was famous for cutting some wheat with no shirt on, sending many
Hears a fluttering, and yes even in Agatha Christie. They find an excuse to
have him wandering around in just a short towel :))
That was really fantastic -{ Pretty damn dark but really captivating. Rare to see such a talented cast all at their best, I even thought Toby Stephens was excellent when I presumed he could act himself out of a paper bag judging by DAD. :))

Just spent the afternoon watching all 3 episodes.

Excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed it and great acting from all involved. Always loved Charles Dance and have a soft spot Sam Neil.

I never got into 'Poldark' so missed the whole Aidan Turner thing but .... Wow! I'm a convert. Probably helped that he looked like a young Tim Dalton ...

As for a Bond contender, he's the right age and he looked perfect in a dinner suit ...

I think even if he doesn't get a chance at Bond, he'll definitely be a leading man in many
More TV and film productions. I too thought Charles Dance was superb in ATTWN he
can change from charm to menace in the blink of an eye. -{ infact the entire cast was
    Brilliant.

Watching an episode of QI on Netflix, and Stephen Fry ( and Frank Skinner) both
said that Columbo was the greatest tv series ever made. :) I know if it's on, I watch
It, even if I've seen it a hundred times before. They made an interesting point.
Peter Falk had a glass eye, but did the Character of Columbo have one ? :))

Probably not actually on TV , as I've bought it from Google play movies,
    but Torchwood: Miracle Day.
Haven't seen it in years ( and missed many episodes) so I'm looking forward to it.
It begins with a day when no one dies ! then no one dies the next day etc :)

Funny how TV shows can sometimes predict the future......

In Torchwood " Miracle Day" when people stop dying. Which leads to
A massive depression, like the 1920s ( or what the banks did recently).
The two countries named as going bankrupt were, Greece and Ireland.
Funny to think that a few years after this series, that's nearly what did
    Happen.

I watched dinosaur autopsy the other night, basically the had a full size T.REX , model made up by some extremely clever people ,and then they did an autopsy on it , you would never believe that this thing wasn't an actual real dead T.REX , amazing ,the detail was first class .
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

They should have had a follow on programme with Jamie Oliver
"Cooking with Dinosaurs" , showing you the best way to cook the

Actually no. It was just some deft acting on PFs part.

From Wikipedia, I can confirm this is correct (i.e. Columbo was meant to have a glass eye just like Peter Falk who played him):

Columbo's unsettling, uneven-eyed stare was due to Falk's glass eye in the right eye socket. It remained a mystery for 25 years whether the character had one as well, until 1997's "Columbo: A Trace of Murder", whereupon asking another character to revisit the crime scene with him he jokes: "You know, three eyes are better than one."

    A BIG Columbo fan here - I have them all on DVD. I watched 'A Case of Immunity' last night. :) -{

A great cast to start with - all evoking the spirit of the original actors...but special mention must be given to John Sessions who WAS Arthur Lowe !

Bit late I know but only just watched this.

It wasn't what I was expecting at all. I thought it was a documentary on the making of not a drama.

Anyway, I loved it too!! Very well done with an excellent cast. I had no idea that was John Sessions and nice to see Julian Sands again.

Tracy Ullman has a new show which is very funny. Her first sketch had
Dame Judi Dench as a bit of a delinquent, as she's a national treasure she
can get away with anything. :D

The Flash has returned, and whilst the new episode was ok, I did come away with one thing.

Teddy Sears (Jay Garrick) in a tuxedo seriously looks like he could be a good Bond. Unlikely, I know, but I think if he can do a good british accent he can be a good Bond.

I think these Talent shows serve a higher purpose. They provide the
Vapid, mindless daytime TV presenters of the future. As on " This
Morning" . I always laugh at their pledges that " Singing is my life"
" I was born to sing". Yet none actually sing in bands or in pubs and
Clubs ? and quickly give up their " Singing ambitions" to show clips
of cute kittens on some Crap TV show. :D
