May, Hammond and Clarkson are probably laughing now!
I loved their Top Gear, it worked because all three had prescence on screen, and their clashing personalities made for some of the funniest moments on British television.
Evans and LeBlanc just don't have that, and they just don't seem to have the banter that the other three had.
Anything good on TV ,well some dick head at the TV station has decided to put on White Christmas ,starring Bing Crosby ?? and what makes it worse ,other dick heads at the TV station ,have agreed to it .
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

"It was ok " .... can't get higher praise. even the ratings were lower than Chris Evans wanted but
who knows they have a six week run to make a few tweaks, so it can only get better ?
For the time being, I'm enjoying channel 5's " Fith Gear"
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Le Blanc was actually ok and the Nomad feature was cool.
I think the problem was when they did the silly Clarkson type challenges which is always going to ask for trouble, especially when they said it would be a new format. Besides that style had already ran its course with the original trio and starting to get Zzz
I actually dont mind Chris Evans, he is quite a inventive bloke with some original ideas, I think if he does his own thing and becomes himself then things will settle down however last night he was clearly immitating the previous lot which made me cringe. He is a lot better then that

I think they should have gone back to the older style of reviewing cars, at least until they have established themselves and worked out what partnerships work instead of the forced nonsense they showed last night.
It was always going to be a hard sell for me because I really dislike Chris Evans. I find him too manic and over the top. Can't stand TFI Friday.
The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am at Clarkson! If he could have just put up with a cold cut , non of us would be in this situation and we'd have a TV programme we liked ) )
The producer Phil Redmond said at the time, all the arguments he'd ever seen on set,
were about Catering and parking. Once having to seperate two fighting actors. So in
his opinion, if you can sort out catering and parking you, never have any problems.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Top Gear binned/posponed the filming on the Atlantic Sea Road and Trollstigen (think the winding road in GF) at the last minute.
The good news is that those places can be used as Bond locations before everyone has seen them on TV.
Good to see Russel Howard's Stand Up Central is back. It's a good series with some great guests, and Russel Howard himself is great. I did enjoy Good News, but I think now I prefer Stand Up Central.
It's not on TV now, but after I bought the DVD of the series That Peter Kay Thing, I watched the series, then watched both series of Phoenix Nights. That Peter Kay Thing is brilliant, so many references to other characters and episodes in the series it's amazing, considering each episode focuses on different characters and locations. Phoenix Nights is great as well, some of the Max and Paddy stuff in series 1 is great, I love the scenes in one episode, where every time we cut to them, they're listing the films Sean Connery wore a toupee in!
) Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment. I even gave " Extra Gear" a look....
It's even worse, like a Youth TV version. 8-). You Tube has a few videos
Up of people who said they had an open mind, but very disappointed.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Seems a bit silly. As I'd Say the road would have been closed for filming ?
The local police commander felt it would be on him if an accident happened. I can see his point, but i still think it's a shame. Top Gear planned to drive a Ferrari and a Lamborghini!
I can see his point but Top Gear has driven all sorts of super performance cars all over the
World, without mishap. It was only ever catering that caused problems.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Anyone going to tune in for the second episode of Top Gear ?
Yes. I thought it was fine. Only one point, I wonder if when in the studio CE realises he is wearing a microphone?! NO NEED TO SHOUT CHRIS!
I've never been a fan of CE so it will be uphill all the way for him as far as I'm concerned.
I thought this 'brand new top gear' was supposed to be a fresh start, keeping the good bits and taking the show in a brave new direction.
All I saw last week was two celebrities with nothing in common (mr 'happy' G Ramsey who cribbed on about his Ferrari La Ferrari Ferrari Spyder Ferrari la Spyder Ferrari and some kid who just didn't like cars at all) and Chris Evans and Matt Le Blanc (Blanc charisma, Blanc personality, Blanc expression and apparently Blanc cheque) do the worst impression of Clarkson and Hammond on a blind date.
The second season of Bloodline is now on Netflix--a great show, dripping with southern gothicism. This season features John Leguizamo and Andrea Riseborough. . .interesting to see such a proper English girl transformed into good ol' American trailer trash!

I didn't bother watching, I decided to watch Soccer Aid instead.
Comments
I never watched the old Top Gear so I won't be watching the new one either. -{
He's as boring as F**k, a monotone voice !
I switched it off after 25 minutes. Evans tries too hard so it all feels a bit forced.
" Isn't this fun, aren't we all having fun !"
It's took them 2 mins to get back into the old format despite them saying it was going to be new and not rehashed (Missiles on cars etc)
Comparisons were inevitable but just following the same format is not going to work.
May, Hammond and Clarkson are probably laughing now!

Really enjoyed it with some great performances by Damien Lewis and Paul Giamatti.

Trollstigen
Yep...didn't think it was anywhere near as bad as some said...it seemed like some were determined to hate it whatever 8-)
