    Netflix and Marvel have done it again--this time with Luke Cage. The show is an incredible mix of modern super-hero action and 1970s Blaxploitation style, complete with funky-funky music on the soundtrack. And Luke is a genuinely GOOD guy who stands up for the weak and uses his powers to bring down the bad muthas who are ruining Harlem. Give it a watch--you'll dig it!

    Watched Westworld on Sky, very enjoyable and Ed Harris's character is a nasty piece of work.
    Geoffrey Wright is also in it with the great Anthony Hopkins. -{

    Really enjoying the second series of " Josh" :)) even though I remember Sir Miles saying it
    Wasn't getting great reviews.

    Finally got round to watching the first episode of Westworld. Now, I'll be honest, I don't like the film. It has little story and ultimately feels slow and boring despite a short run time.

    But, I did enjoy the first episode. Jeffrey Wright is excellent in the role, seeing him in this definitely makes me feel like he needs to return to Bond with a bigger role - his part is small in CR and QoS is just QoS. Plus, despite this being the only thing I've seen him in, I could honestly imagine Simon Quartermain being a good Bond. Don't know how old he is though.

    I'm not really into travel programmes, but I do enjoy watching Travel Man: 48 hours in.... with the always great Richard Ayoade. The show has had some great guests (Noel Fielding and Paul Rudd have been highlights) and it really makes me want to see Bond films set in the locations he visits, especially those unvisited in Bond (Helsinki, Lisbon, Copenhagen, Dubai).

    Have been watching the current season of American Horror Story, was never really a fan of the series but watched a few episodes last season because I'm a fan of Matt Bomer. The first episode peaked my interest but has since gone downhill, but its more casual viewing then as a long-time fan.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the long awaited return of Cold Feet and was very happy to hear that they've given the go-ahead to a further series next year. The writing, acting and cast chemistry was superb throughout.

    Also enjoying the SAS Who Dares Wins second series. One of the better 'reality' TV series in recent times imo & it's always fun to watch people getting a proper beasting! :))

    I think so, but I guess the meteorlogical experts can predict it pretty well. Also, the coast about the Arctic circle is pretty long. I guess Swedes, Finland, Russia and Canada are the only other countries that could pull off a program like this.

    It probably is the best Carry on film, and is the only one I own on DVD.

    Agreed, it's great. No disrespect to Harry H. Corbett but would it have been a better film if Sid James had played the lead? He had a heart attack shortly before filming so was replaced by Corbett.
  • CoolHandBondCoolHandBond Mactan IslandPosts: 7,372MI6 Agent
    I think Carry On Doctor and Carry On Camping are better with Screaming coming in a close third. I thought Corbett put in a fine performance but no one could replace Sid.

    Carry on Screaming is my favourite 'Carry on...' movie as well...I actually think it works better for not having Sid in the lead role...Harry H. Corbett was a FAR better actor and adds nuances to the role that Sid couldn't...
    I like pretty much every 'Carry on...' movie though ;%

    I have never in my like seen a Carry On movie :o
    Thore movies are simply unknown in this country. Is that just us (like the Doctor Who thing), or are the Carry On movies mainly known in the UK?
