The Apprentice : on BBC 1. Tonight they have to decorate two rooms at Stoke Park golf course, where
The famous golf match in Goldfinger took place.

I still really enjoy The Apprentice. Can't help myself. Love Claud and Lord Sugar tells the worst puns on telly.

    I also really enjoyed 'Liar'.

I'd forgotten all about Ioan Gruffudd. He's matured very nicely. :D

It's odd that Liar has got a second series. Given how this
    Series ended ?

Unless it focuses upon the pre-story i.e. what happened with his wife / the other women before the series started? Just a possibility.

As for the ending of the series ... my early money would be on the woman's partner from the army.

Yep mine too originally, but if it concentrates on his pre story then Laura wouldn't be in it? It's obviously going to about the 3 weeks Earlham was missing before we saw him at the end. Well that's my thoughts anyway.

I don't believe they would have got an actress like Jill Halfpenny in just for a brief appearance in a couple of episodes if she didn't have a juicier role lined up in the second series.

I agree with Chriscoop though ... it will be a who dunnit and lots of lovely flashbacks to Ioan.

Speaking of Ioan, apparently while auditioning for a major part, his wife, met Weinstein at a party, he told her he wanted to doddle her breasts and "Do things to her" She rebuffed his invite to the toilets ( classy bloke) and in doing so Weinstein told her Ioan would not get the role. Utterly disgraceful. I thought blackmail was a crime as well as sexual harassment, sexual assault and rape! The bloke needs his balls cutting off and feeding to him.

Gunpowder!! Definitely Tom Cullen for next Bond (guy Fawkes)
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,334MI6 Agent
Tom Cullen seems like one of the better candidates. Born in 1985 he's a few years younger than most of the more popular fan favourites, and that's an advantage for him.

We will be watching this tonight, I've been looking forward to it and it's had decent reviews.

So happy to read that The Blue Planet 2, is getting far higher viewing figures than, the X factor or
    Strictly come dancing. Once again proving if you make a quality programme, people will watch -{

I don’t know about anyone else but I’m really looking forward to The Punisher Netflix series. Jon Bernthal was amazing in the role on season 2 of Daredevil. For anyone who hasn’t seen it, I highly recommend going to YouTube right now and typing in “Punisher cemetery scene”. Some of the best acting I’ve seen in a long time. Plus I’ve always been a Punisher fan. Really looking forward to it.

Agree I thought he was great in Daredevil 2.
The other series I'm looking forward to is the final of Longmire which is also 17 No

I'm watching a programme about the artwork of Scandinavia, particularly Norway.... Something about the dark soul of Norway, I'm more interested in the stunning scenery tbh.

Watched one of the early 60s The Human Jungle series on Talking Pictures last night... Herbert Lom as a cool psychologist, hair and the way he carried himself like a young Sean Connery. Score sounded famliar and indeed it was performed by our old friend John Barry.

I suggest our UK friends catch up on iPlayer Tracey Ullman's recent newsy sketch show, shown in the last few days, where her impressions of various political figures are superb. As good is the content, it put me in mind of the Not the Nine 0'Clock News in its heyday, and that's high praise indeed.

the original cast had such great chemistry
for that reason The Voyage Home is my favourite of the films, because it emphasised that chemistry rather than trying to turn Star Trek into space opera

Hey Lady Rose... it's been a while :D

I have to say I was really disappointed in Liar... I felt it lacked a decent twist... although I do agree, Ioan Gruffudd is looking mighty fine:x

Did you watch the second series of Dr. Foster? Brilliant!

I'm enjoying the Apprentice - although each year the candidates seem to get thicker and thicker :)) and Blue Planet II is just superb.

The spy series on BBC4 (?) in Elizabethan times is also worth a watch - can't remember it's name, and I've just caught up with Louis T on Scientology which was fascinating... such a weird cult, and I'm hooked into any programme about it!
