I've just watched the first two episodes of this German mini series set 1929. It's contains organised crime, political extremists, dance halls, porn, police, avantgarde performances and more. Hitler would have hated Berlin Babylon, but fans of Phillip Kerr's novels in the Berlin Noir series will love it. Reccomend!
I've just finished watching "A very English scandal". It's a very interesting and funny series about a piece of history I didn't know. Ben Wishaw is always brilliant, it's more surprising how good Hugh Grant is in this series. Earlier he often played himself, but he has made some very good performances lately. This might be a career best.

I'm watching episode four of "Babylon Berlin" right now. It's brilliant!

There is even a Bond Connection:
Production designer Uli Hanisch paid homage to his famous colleague Ken Adam. Adam was born in Berlin as Klaus Hugo and was a Jew. His father, Fritz Adam, was a department store owner and had to flee the Nazis in 1934, but certain things had to be left behind. Among them plans for a huge shopping mall, which Hanisch now used for the film set. On the Art Deco facade can therefore be seen Adam & Sons. (from IMDB)
Babylon Berlin is the most expensive non- English language TV series ever made, and the money is well spent. The series is great!
Just finished Bodyguard and not surprisingly it is being talked about here. I really enjoyed it even if it's not perfect. I wanted a show like the Night Manager for awhile and this did the trick. A British thriller with spy elements, when done right, is always welcome.
It seems the ship has sailed on Idris Elba being Bond, but they all get their audition tape it seems, so it's been interesting to see him pointing a gun in the face of Patrick 'TWINE' Malahide like Pierce did in the pts - Malahide is always good value.
I watched the first epiode of the New "Das Boot" TV-series. Very promising!
The Germans are making really good TV lately: Deutchland '86, Babylon Berlin and now Das Boot.
watching The Grand Tour on Amazon prime in 4k, and re-watching an old favourite " The X Files " -{
Nightflyers on Netflix, is good too, along with series two of The Orville. I'm also sticking with Star Trek
Discovery, even though I don't think it is very good at all. )

White Gold, This is the second season, I haven't watched it as yet, but the first season was very funny and if you like 80s music they have that as the soundtrack -{

Didn’t realise the second season had started the first season was excellent -{
White Gold is very funny, the second series only held up because of a sexual allegation case against
the lead actor.
I'm also enjoying Martin Clunes in "Warren" on bbc1. a sort of young Victor Meldrew.

Yes TP I caught Victor last week and found it very funny {[]
I just finished the first season of "After Life." I really can't recommend it more. extremely poetic in explaining the first part of grief after the loss of someone significant may that be a wife,child, mother or father. it's funny and heartbreaking all at the same time which you would think would be a total oxymoron but it somehow kind of perfectly walks that line in between the two. you finish an episode and you feel like crying and laughing and it's pure genius.
Star trek discovery season two. Much better than the first season. The addition of Captain pike is amazing and he's fast becoming my favourite trek captain!

Bunch of delusional arrogant wannabes, ..... who actually
Suck at business )
Has given a few great performances of late.
Really enjoyed it. John Krasinski was very good and Wendell Pierce (or Meghan's dad as he's affectionately known in our house) stole the show.
Looking forward to season 2.
