Sideshow James Bond Collection

Evening all,

Question, what's peoples views on the value of the James Bond Sideshow Collection? I'm not on about the 1/4 scale ones they did, or the Legacy versions, just the "normal/ run of the mill" collection consisting of the 24 Models and accessories at 1/6th scale/ 12" in height.

I only ask, because this auction lot has appeared on eBay - too high or too low a price?

I have the full set of 24 of these figures, and if I've looked at the figures twice in the time I've owned them, then that will be it. They are taking up a lot of space and wondering if its worth selling them?

Thanks in advance - this is my collection

I've recently started collecting these and on ebay, for items that actually sell, I've seen prices range from £5 (gutted I missed that one!) :)) to £40, which is what I payed for the OHMSS Ski Suit model. I may have underpaid or overpaid but that was what I was willing to pay at the time of sale.

I couldn't tell you what they are worth because I've only looked on ebay and things on there are only worth what people are willing to pay for them but thought I'd share what little experience I do have.

Thanks for the reply Jamesbondjr. I've seen them sell for more and for less than the prices you've seen them go for too. Hard to put a value on them really. I'd hope they'd command a premium as a complete set, but hard to tell really. They all still have their accessories with them as well. They have been out of the boxes (before my ownership) so the seals have gone on the boxes, but they were carefully repackaged, including refixing the blister pack seal parts on the boxes that needed them refixing

I'd say the eBay listing in question is MUCH too high.

The bulk of the figures are fetching original asking price ($40/£40). A few -- Zao, Wai Lin, so on -- are well below with just two -- Jaws and Q -- in the $100/£100+ range. The No and OHMSS duos generally do a little better than original retail, not quite sure why; they aren't in shorter supply that I know of. Whether they're "exclusives" (TB with breather, Trevelyan with 2nd head, etc.) doesn't seem to have any impact on value.

The Legacy series is the exception: these are also all generally in the $100/£100 range, having backed-off from the high 100s though; some -- Brosnan, for example -- sometimes dropping below.

I got all the figures direct from Sideshow when the first came out. I've since also picked-up every figure loose -- but not all the accessories -- for display.
