The suit at the Skyfall press conference, although Tom Ford, was not representative of the suits to come in the film. Many of the people at the SPECTRE press conference didn't seem to prepare for the appearance. Ralph Fiennes had the bottom button of his suit fastened rather than the top. It's as if someone threw the suit at him and said he has thirty seconds until he has to be on stage.
Was going to post essentially the same: Does no one bother to dress for a press event anymore?
Flip flops on chat shows -- even red carpets -- have become perfectly acceptable.
Where does this end?

You only live once, live like Bond!
Nice work (also probs to Schofield for the NPEAL spot)
Looks more purple in the numerous shots see on the Daily Mail website
Cheers for the ref, mate.
Prefer "David" though. ) -{
More convinced if its N Peal its the lighter colour
Hope the Moltens are in it. Mainly as it would save me a few bob
Unfortunately, I've seen a lot of people buttoning only the bottom button recently, even on store mannequins and certain clothing websites. Might be an ugly trend starting.
In most cases where I see it, it's clearly done because the person doesn't know which button to fasten. My dad has done it, and he's certainly not trying to follow any trends. Perhaps one person sees another fastening the button improperly and simply copied it not knowing better. I'm pretty sure Ralph Fiennes just made a mistake. For someone who wears bespoke suits, I'd assume he knows better than to mess up his tailor's creation!
I hope so too. I need another reason to spend $600 on another pair of shoes.
I think it's sometimes known as the 'Columbo' look. But for that character he was supposed to look disheveled and unassuming, so yeah otherwise I agree and would chalk it up to general ignorance.
Also for anyone looking to get a similar sweater to DC's but aren't willing to spring for N.Peal prices, I'd recommend John Smedley. I have a 'Hughes' pull-over identical in fit and indigo colour, but with a v-neck, which I kind of think works better than a crew with a dress shirt + tie anyways....
Yes, I probably am the only one.

The item descriptions does change slightly between this colour, Blue Wave and other colours.
Wonder if they will sneak us info of what they bought for SPECTRE
I see they do some nice cashmere shawl cardigans in various colours (inc a McQueen Bullitt style brown). Expensive but more affordable then TF at least!!
Kind regards,
Craig
