I walked down the same pavement he did on the same day, across the street from my home! His son lives near me and I'm always hoping that some day I will run into Sir Sean on the street so he can tell me to F-off.
) doesn't seem to matter to some journalists ) in a way it's sad thay they don't seem to
know any younger talented black actors.
Actually that's a very good point. Idris Elba *clearly* isn't going to be the next James Bond, in part because he'll simply be too old by the time the next but one (at least) Bond movie is ready to roll. A lot of journos simply can't name another black actor.
It doesn't help that the British movie business doesn't give a lot of opportunities to black actors - Downton Abbey and the 'heritage cinema' that followed in its wake by its very nature is going to have predominantly white casts. More contemporary action films are needed to showcase young British talent.
I'm a big fan of Adrian Lester, a fantastic actor and his character
In Hustle was just such a cool guy -{ but sadly he too at 49 is
Simply too old, although there must be many more possible younger actors out there.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Chiwetel Ejiofor is only 40 and John Boyega only 25 and both can out act Elba who is I'm afraid a one trick pony, though he does that trick well. i also like Adrian Lester, I've been a fan of Patterson Joseph too who just seems to crop up in so many programmes, a bit like Mark Strong

I rather like Patterson Joseph - I get the impression he's be really good at comedy, though I haven't seen him in any funny roles. Also David Oyelowo, another Black British actor who had to go to the USA to get better roles.
Here's a nice quote from David Oyelowo talking about diversity in screen roles:
The morning after A United Kingdom opened the BFI London Film Festival, its main star, David Oyelowo, received a standing ovation for an impassioned and frequently comical speech about diversity, a topic he freely admitted he was "really tired of talking about."
"That word must be what the words 'James Bond' are for Idris Elba at the moment," he joked as he opened the Black Star Symposium, a major debate about diversity onscreen, focusing on issues facing black talent in the U.K.
Oyelowo said he frequently watched interviews with his favorite actors, including Daniel Day-Lewis and Michael Fassbender, to hear the questions they're asked.
"They get to talk about their movie, what it's like working with a certain director, funny anecdotes on set. … But with me, at some point, I get 'David, we need to talk about diversity.'"
aww, I was hoping this story was going to be about Craig being seen hanging out with Stephen Fry, who is a Cambridge grad
maybe since Hugh Laurie made such a great Bond-type villain in The Night Manager, Craig decided to hire his pal Jeeves as the next real-Bond villain?
but instead this is about Fry-ing breakfast, that's completely different then, never mind
At least the sun reports something correctly about the wild speculation. As for Monica back? I'd love her to appear but as the leading lady? I'm not so sure.
