Thanks for this. Good to see Pierce looking so sharp (he's really rocking the Silver Fox thing)
As for Glenda Jackson I always think it's a cheap shot when someone announces that they turned down a role that went to another actor. I'm sure she would have been fine in the role, but claiming she declined because it was boring is just rude.
Of that of which we cannot speak we must pass over in silence- Ludwig Wittgenstein.
I'm on it, but Camera shy (and to old/lazy/ don't like Ed Sheeran- dull as a tax return# more of a Belgian Techno man myself)
Have other means on the go. My wishlist and not wishlist is shaping up nicely. Will keep you posted mon Brav if I don't return tell Mother I died game

HELLO, My name is GENE and here is my take on the series. THE JAMES BOND SERIES TO MY WAY OF THINKING HAS BEEN THE BEST SERIES OF ACTION MOVIES EVER MADE. THE ACTORS CHOSEN TO PLAY BOND HAVE ALL BEEN GREAT, BUT SOME MORE SO THAN OTHERS.
OF COURSE, SEAN CONNERY WAS AMAZING AS THE FIRST JAMES BOND, AND THE BEST. I THOUGHT THAT ROGER MOORE WAS A LITTLE WEAK AND THE POOREST CHOICE OF ALL THE ACTORS, ALTHOUGH EVEN HE WAS WAS VERY GOOD, AND HIS MOVIES WERE ALL FANTASTIC AS WELL.
OF COURSE, DANIEL CRAIG WAS OUTSTANDING AS BOND, AND HIS PORTRAYAL OF THE LEAD CHARCTER WAS FAR AND AWAY THE BEST SINCE SEAN.
THE WHOLE SERIES HAS LEFT ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT, FROM START TO FINISH, FULL OF LOTS OF ACTION AND WONDERFUL STORIES.
OF COURSE WITHOUT A VILLAIN THERE CAN BE NO HERO. AND BOND CERTAINLY WAS A HERO WHO HAD TO BATTLE MANY VILLAINS. HE HAS DONE BATTLE WITH SOME OF THE MOST MANIACALLY BLOODTHIRSTY VILLAINS ALL BENT ON WORLD DOMINATION EVER, INCLUDING ROSA KLEBB, MR. BIG, LE CHIFFRE, ODDJOB, DR. NO, AURIC GOLDFINGER, BLOFELD, RED GRANT AND SCARAMANGA. AND WHO CAN EVER POSSIBLY FORGET JAWS.
THE CHOICE OF ACTORS PLAYING THE VILLAIN HAS ALL BEEN WONDERFUL. BUT I THINK THAT MY FAVORITE VILLAINS WERE ODDJOB, FROM GOLDFINGER PLAYED BY HAROLD SAKATA, OR RED GRANT, (PLAYED BY ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTORS, ROBERT SHAW). (SHAW PLAYED QUINT IN THE MOVIE JAWS). RED GRANT WAS IN "FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE". ONE OF THE BEST VILLAINS EVER WAS JAWS PLAYED BY RICHARD KIEL, ALTHOUGH JAWS TURNED OUT TO BE A GOOD PERSON.
I HAVE EVERY BOND MOVIE EVER MADE AND I WATCH THEM ALL QUITE OFTEN. MY PERSONAL FAVORITE BOND MOVIE WAS "YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE".
I REALLY MISS M PLAYED BY BERNARD LEE, Q PLAYED BY DESMOND LIEWELYN AND EVE MONEYPENNY PLAYED BY LOIS MAXWELL.
Hello Gene, and welcome. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, though perhaps this wasn't the ideal thread (this one would have been a good choice: https://www.ajb007.co.uk/topic/34154/welcome-comings-goings/page/91/ ). Have a look around the site and I hope you enjoy yourself here, and please don't post all in upper case.
