I have to let the truth get in the way of a good story here. Smalahove is a traditional dish in a region of Norway. Not the region I come from, mind. I have tasted it once and I did because you should try everything once exept incest and folk dancing )
It didn't taste horrible, but it didn't taste very well either. But I did it it stone cold sober, unlike most people who eat Smalahove.
Types of food like Smalahove happens when a scant food supply is paired with great imagintion. Alcohol makes it all og down. I think many nations have dishes not too different.
