Recently obtained this rather interesting Lotus in-house newsletter outlining their involvement and experiences on location in Cortina back in 1981, and thought some AJB members may be interested reading it. -{

The ski scenes and the appearances of the Turbo Esprit have been and still are my absolute highlights from my favorite #2 Bond movie.
You have no idea how often I have imagined the lucky guys driving the cars to Cortina and how desperately I would have liked the job - without pay!!
I've done the mentioned trips to Cortina from the north (Milan) and the south (Nice) several times and have found all the mentioned locations when we were there for skiing some years ago.
Reading all this started made me smile big and my heart warm. I have to see the movie again tonight!

That's a fascinating article, thanks for sharing. Amazing the lengths the producers go to in order to get just the right shots: moving snow, organising extras in ski gear etc, just for a few seconds of screen time.
