I know nothing about guns and depend on the members here to point out when it changes in different films.
Although, I think the ppk is "Bonds gun" , I'm guessing most of the average audience, would have my Level
    of gun recognition. :D
So the ppk could be Bond's personal weapon and then he could be issued with something a little more
    Modern etc.

I think bond should keep the ppk as his concealed carry. But be given a more suitable handgun in assault situations. Like in the PTS of goldeneye, theres bond in full tactical gear but with a ppk as his main weapon?!
It was either that.....or the priesthood

I loved that glock machine gun he had at the start of SP, I was amazed that it was so compact.
I know guns can't be cute, but that impressed me.

It was a regular Glock handgun that fitted in this....

All the outer attachment does is help stabilise the handgun with foregrip and shoulder stock so it doesn't move around as much when recoiling. It's not that accurate over distance as the barrel is still very short.

So even this rig wouldn't have been enough to bring down a helicopter? 8-)

Doubtful, unless you freaking managed to hit a fuel line etc, or the pilot :)

Helicopters aren't that tough. In Jaws 2, even a shark brought one down . :D

I have had a play with one of these, also the version for the Sig 226, lots of fun and it does improve the accuracy for close range rapid fire, ideal for CP teams in place of something like the 5k or Mini-Uzi. There is one for the P99 but hard to find and it brings the pistols into the "interesting" legal area in most countries.

Perfect Bond gadget though. I remember the old James Bond toy rifle back in the 60's was strikingly similar to the Glock rig.
