What i mean is what has been Bonds reaction to seeing them for the first time. Which ones have had the most impressive entrances?

DN - The big famous one.Taken line for line from the novel. Honey walking ashore on the Caribbean beach
FRWL - Tania tucked up in bed wearing a trueso awaiting Bond
GF - Pussy looking down at Bond in the airplane
TB - the sight of Domino swimming
YOLT - Kissy raising her head at the wedding
OHMSS - Tracy kicking off her shoes and walking into the sea
DAF - Walking away from Bond while trying on wigs
LALD - Solitaire patiently playing with TAROT cards
TMWGG - Britt driving over Rog's foot
TSWLM - The Pyramids with Anya pointing a gun at him
MR - The battle of sexes in Hollys office
FYEO - Running into Melina in Spain and watching her shoot the opposition
OP - "I wondered when you might arrive" Maud in her dressing gown
AVTAK - Stacey admiring the view from the bridge
TLD - Kara returns to a broken in flat and Bond is already there
LTK - Seen briefly at Leiters house
GE - Screaming at Brozzer.I never got her words out of my head
TND - Slinking around Elliotts party
TWINE - arriving by helicopter
DAD - the notorious scene when Jinx arrives spouting **** dialogue at the beachut
CR - "I am the money.."
QoS - "Get in the car.."
SF - Bond spotting Severine during the execution. That lingering glance afterwards.

I hate to say Honey Rider has the most memorable entrance (because she as first), but she really does. Her and her bikini created quintessential Bond Girl entrance. When I think of a "Bond Girl" I think of her walking out of the waves looking ethereal.

Tracy's entrance in OHMSS is one of the more unusual and unforgettable because it is unclear if she is killing herself or recklessly walking into the water.

Another impressive entrance was Elektra King in The World is Not Enough. She did not chase anyone down or fly in, but it was very dramatic meeting Bond at her fathers funeral. The first time you "meet" her it is clear that she is a complicated, tragic figure.

DAD - the notorious scene when Jinx arrives spouting poo dialogue at the beachut

Actually the first time Bond "sees" Jinx is when she emerges from the ocean and takes her hip-swinging walk up to the beachhut. Before she says a word, I think he reacts as if he is watching one of the most beautiful women he has ever seen (he even adjusts his binoculars to get a better look). My reaction was quite the same. I don't disgree that dialogue is awful, and Halle Berry delivers her lines like an amateur. But she is absolutely gorgeous and that first sighting is a doozy! :007)

Well, abit of a joke. I was messing around. It looks like she just cuts into traffic.Andrea Anders gets a better introduction.
    :)) :))
Disagree with you about Jinx BL Nothing can persuade me of the awfulness of that character. X-(

Thinking back i think Anya, Melina, Kara and Octopussy all have good ones :D

Not trying to persuade you of anything, my friend. It's possible to agree that Jinx is an awful character and still acknowledge how beautiful Halle Berry looks. :007)

It is clever that they harken back to Ursula's entrance, even to the point of her having a very similar bikini.

Precisely! And in a movie filled with nods to previous Bond films, that was one of the most obvious homages. In my opinion Halle Berry pulls it off quite well because she's every bit as stunning as Ursula Andress, if not more so. But once she starts talking.......not so awesome! :))

You are correct Hallie gives Ursula competition.

Denise Richards is another stunning Bond Girl who should have stayed mute. She had a tomb raider/ Bond look about her. Pierce Brosnan has some lacking female co-stars.

I agree about Denise Richards, and I'd add Gloria Hendry and Tanya Roberts from the Roger Moore era to that list. Beautiful women - extremely annoying Bond Girls.

    These are my favourites.

FRWL.- that scene is so full of eroticism, ingenious dialogue and humour that is the best meeting with a Bond girl. And I'm in love with Daniela Bianchi. :x
GF.- "My name is Pussy Galore", then Connery's reaction and "I must be dreaming". It's just hilarious.
OHMSS.- Bond saves Tracy from commiting suicide. Pure Fleming. Very well shot.
TLD.- Actually the first time Bond sees Kara is when she catches his eye at the concert; the second is when he decides not to kill her. That contrast between playing the cello, then being a sniper, and Bond's reaction to the situation are fantastic.
CR.- First encounter with Vesper Lynd in the train. Great dialogue (except for the watch publicity which is obvious).

The scene is not supposed to be in the middle of the night, but at dusk. I think day for night works well, it captures Fleming's novel atmosphere. As for Tracy never dipping underwater, Bond does something to her to make her unconscious. We just don't see what from afar, so it's not that she's half drown or anything. In the novel, her plan is to just swim away until she dies.

The scenes on the beach are just after sunrise, Bond's first words to Tracy are "Good morning", so there is no night involved. If Bond does something to make Tracy unconscious then it is clearly not apparent. More likely to me is that she faints from stress. She was trying to commit suicide after all.

In the novel, it's sunset, not sunrise. Anyway, my point was day for night looks right. It could be she faints due to stress, or it could be he does the Heimlich manouver: we're too far to notice what he does, but he does something. My point is she doesn't drown.
