Year of Spies

Hi guys!
As a few of you know on here I'm a film maker (www.chrisstonefilms.com) and I wanted to share my brand new project with you all! It's a 12 part espionage web series called 'Year of Spies'. The website and the first mission launches this Sunday (Dec 28th 2014). There will be a new mission every month in 2015. I hope you will all enjoy it. It's influenced by my love of Bond, The Man from Uncle, The Iprcess File and loads of other spy fiction I watched or read growing up.

I like your films and there is some good actors in it which really helped. How many cameras do you use? Do you yourself or someone else edit or colour grade your films?

Thanks guys! Glad you liked it. It was great fun to make! I'm just working on the script to February's mission now. Each one is it's own separate story with a completely new cast (yes I do like to make things hard for myself).



In answer to your questions SimonTemplar we have just one camera. I edit the film and my wife Steph does the colour grading in DaVinci Resolve. There was just a crew of 3 on this. It really helps knowing some great actors. John who plays Peter was 'Edge of Tomorrow' with Tom Cruise.

Yesterday we were in the New Year's Day edition of our local newspaper which I'm really pleased about. It's hard enough making independent films, it's even harder trying to promote them.

Thanks guys!!! Glad you like them. Probably have a big prem party when all 12 are done. Hopefully some of you guys may be able to attend. Be great to meet you all in person! I had one of my premiere screenings for a film I did with Caroline Munro at the cinema at Pinewood Studios!

The latest 'Year of Spies'. Recently the series has been nominated at the Marseille Web Festival. They are flying me out there in October. I'm very excited!
