The scans a little unclear but the autograph looks like it is on a bookplate that was released with Being a Scot, Connery's recent book. I'm far from an expert on these signed editions and have seen sigs on various different types of bookplate, of which I'm sure some have been faked. I cannot definitively say this is the case with yours but it does resemble Connery's auto unlike some outrageous fakes doing the rounds...
As to whether you've paid too much? A signed edition of Being a Scot is going for at least £150 on eBay if memory serves, but then factor in the framing etc, so I wouldn't say you did taking all circumstances into account (auction setting/drink etc). I'm not mad on the layout of the piece, but then I'm not a fan of signed displays where the autograph takes a back seat to the other elements of the overall design.
Presumably the money went to a good cause as well, so if some of the more knowledgable members confirm it to be authentic, everyone's a winner!

Thanks for feedback , Wonderland confirmed it's authenticity and the signature doesn't match the fakes , they are 100% and will refund if proved otherwise.

Can you ask Wonderland if they've gotten the autograph verified and by who?

Your pic is really bad, but it seems that the autograph is the same kind of fake like on the right of this pic:
We ceratainly need a clear and sharp pic from the autograph!

That site is a little confusing. It has the same signature at the top from 1979 as an authentic one.

Still happy though
