Just noticed something ( or am I thick)

just watched OHMSS on blu ray , only cos it was on itv and I fancied watching it without adds,
Anyway , the last "shot " in the film after Tracy gets the bullet,the camera lingers on the shattered glass in the Aston martins windscreen made by the bullet I thought ,wow that is the new spectre poster !

The question is if this is a coincidence because it just looks great on the poster, or if it's hinting at Tracy's murder. It's definitely forming the SPECTRE octopus, that's for sure.

It really isn't. It's just a shatter and no SPECTRE octopus is there.

I think the shattered glass has been changed a bit for the SPECTRE poster so it draws similarities to both the scene from OHMSS and the SPECTRE octopus.

I'm referring to the SPECTRE poster. It's definitely the SPECTRE octopus in there. The OHMSS shattered front car glass is obviously not an octopus.

We were talking about the possible link between the OHMSS final image and the SPECTRE poster, and my point is that the only link I see so far is that the SPECTRE poster forms the octopus, which it does.

Surely it also suggests that the events of OHMSS play a part in SPECTRE? Otherwise, why not use the white cat as a SPECTRE reference or use a SPECTRE ring as the C? I guess the gun shot and the glass shattering is more moody and dark.

I don't believe that's a foregone conclusion at all. There could be any number of reasons to show a gun shattering glass that have absolutely nothing to do with OHMSS. Is it possible there is a connection? Sure, but to say there must be a link I think is overstating it.

I agree with you BL. It could be there's a connection, but then again it could be there isn't. We'll just have to wait a few months

We know that Blofeld will be in the movie, otherwise it wouldn't be called SPECTRE. We also know that he (or she) will probably be revealed at the end, because no one has been cast as Blofeld upfront. EON did that with M and Moneypenny in SF, so it wouldn't be far fetched if Tracy is also there under an alias. After all, probably "Pussy Galore" was also an alias.

Yeah. It would be cool if Blofeld, is in Bond 25. Only appearing at the end of the film. With the film leading up to when Bond discovers who he is.

More like Blofeld will appear throughout SPECTRE, but you only know who he really is at the end.
