So another BC jacket style in the correct cloth/colour (C1011) alongside Blairs correct jacket, and Craig's with notch lapels, straight pockets/ticket pocket: here is the version with straight pockets, ticket pocket and peak lapels! This jacket has the code originally given by the BC rep, which was clearly wrong as it has peak lapels!
Seen with the correct BC trousers, Kentons - and awaiting magnoli cocktail cuff shirt, but now have the Neiman Marcus tie (same as Craig's, I think) though I have carefully unpicked the Tom Ford label so as to be able to wear russet colour on top, rather than the dark brown ( still awaiting Skippys comparison photo with the "real" tie. ). You can also see colour contrast in natural light ( with Dents belt) albeit on a dull rainy day in England. The cat however does have the wrong colour code!

I like the inclusion of Blofelds cat in the picture - very authentic!
My name has changed! I’m no longer dufus......now I’m DB6
In answer to some of your questions, I had the made to order by BC. I've held back telling you guys as I wanted to make sure that it was right. When I commissioned it, I asked about more being made, and I was told that no more could be made. But I've just emailed my contact to say that there would be some interest, and could they make some more. As and when I get a response, I'll let you guys know. He didn't think that there would be sufficient material to make any more, but hope springs eternal.
Oh I know! It's just been ingrained in me, as on many of the websites, mostly "outlet" sites in The States, they incorrectly name this type of jacket a blazer. Apologies, and I stand, once more, suitably corrected!
With 3 examples of the exact same fabric with the same color codes, it's amazing to see how different these pieces look under different lighting scenarios. Clearly, the closest contrast between the jacket and trousers appears under direct sunlight, just like we see it in Spectre. The more artificial the light is, the more distinct the color contrast appears to be, and the more the subtle tones of each piece stands out. The jacket has a yellow and almost magenta hue (read warmer) under artificial light, while the trousers appear more khaki/beige. In sunlight, the linen material seems to wash out more, making the jacket appear lighter in color and almost muted. I think this is why the contrast between the two pieces looks greater indoors.
I think the subtleties of these pieces really need to be seen in person, and side by side. I'm reminded of how many of the TF ties, particularly the "QoS" ones, read differently under various lighting conditions.
Kind regards,
Craig

That is 1 smart outfit Blair , you are a lucky boy
Like many of us we've all tried to get this and fair play you've exceeded where I have failed.
Apart from the Morrocco polo outfit this is my second fav , any help with the tie for us UK residents would be great.
Love to borrow that for the Chelt races next Friday )
Thanks for those pics , we are now all jealous
Just arrived today. I haven't mentioned this latest acquisition till now as I wanted to have it in hand to scrutinise it. But here it is. The Morocco Blazer:
As you can see, Craig was right to take the BC codes with a pinch of salt:
Here's a comparison with the SA chinos:
I hope that these photos are of interest and of some use.
I have a tweed sportcoat that I wear with some tweed trousers. I think I can pul it off as the colours are different enough, and though herringbone, the jacket also has a blue window pane... but I would like more combos to attempt.
@Matt_S, rather than pollute your blog, I wanted to ask where you get your twill, and flannel, trousers?

Most of my trousers used to be from Polo Ralph Lauren, either made in Italy or before when they were made in the USA, but the products are completely different now. I also have a lot from Paul Stuart, and their Canadian-made trousers are styled mostly in the Connery Bond tradition. Most of what I have is no longer available.
And therein lies my problem. It does seem somewhat ridiculous that the purchase of higher rise flannel trousers is difficult or prohibitively expensive, but it seems that way. I don't want trousers from Zara et al.

I know some of you have been waiting for comparison of the Tom Ford two tone knit tie I found in the TF concession at Harrods and the Neiman Marcus 'reversed' colour way TF knit tie, which I managed to pick up in the sale (also got a Navy/Black one too). So I finally managed to take some side-by-side pictures today in natural light...
In each picture the the Harrods TF tie is on the Left and the NM TF tie on the Right - unfortunately the image uploader has turned two of the pictures onto their side, including the main comparison one 8-)
1. Front of both ties
2. Rear of both ties
3. Front of Harrods tie and Rear of NM tie
4. Rear of Harrods tie and Front of NM tie
As you can see from Picture 3. the front colour of the Harrods TF tie is a little more reddish brown compared to the rear colour of the NM. But in Picture 4. the rear colour of the Harrods tie and the front colour of the NM tie appear to be a matching dark brown.
Note that in Picture 2. the primary / front colour shows up as a 'halo' on the 'V' edge of the rear of the ties, so the Harrods tie has the reddish brown showing on the V edges, while the NM tie is not so obvious, but can be seen if your looking for it.
Both ties have a brown 'tape' stitched to the rear of the knit in order to give the ties structure around the neck, so it is obvious which way round they should be worn. But given the Morocco tie appears to have had the TF label removed, is it possible the tie was worn in reverse?
The answer appears to be found at the rear of blunt end of the tie
On these ties the primary / front colour wraps around the finished of the blunt end of the tie - So on the Harrods TF tie the rear of blunt end is the primary reddish brown colour. On the NM the blunt end has the wrap around of the dark brown primary colour.
In the still image below from the Morocco scene in SPECTRE in which the tie features, the tie has been blown round to reveal the rear of the knit tie worn
As the enlarged crop of the tie in that image shows, the rear of the screen used tie not only has the lighter coloured brown wrap around to the blunt end of the tie, but also the 'halo' edging to the rear of the 'V' of the tie
So the colour way of the screen worn tie was definitely - Light Brown Front / Dark Brown Rear.
Been waiting for this - great : and much appreciated that you went to the expense of the NM tie having already got the SA version, so we all get to see the difference.

Got lucky with the NM ones being on sale, so I got two for the full price cost of one here in London, plus no customs fee as I had to ship them to a friend in the US who brought them over on a recent trip
Here's a photo of my and my latest love so that you can see the colours in natural light, before I ship her back to Milan to be de-lined/re-lined/retro-lined/self-lined/felined. The shirt is COS, not TF, and the tie is Neiman Marcus TF not SA, but you get the idea, eh?
When you get the jacket back please post a new picture and let us know if it hangs differently without the half lining.
I just saw your Christie's video. Excellent stuff. You wouldn't have happened to see if there were any manufacturer's labels in the Day of the Dead outfit?
This is a cracking picture; a good-looking outfit and interesting setting that complement each other beautifully, and a nice sunny day to top it all off! -{

Looks great! One the best Bondsuits in the film imo.
