Yes Skyfall had more accessible clothes that are nowhere near the level of TF, BC etc in terms of cost e.g. Levis, Billy Reid & Barbour that allowed a huge number of Bond fans to finally purchase and wear some major screen time clothes. (don't get me wrong still expensive but peanuts in comparison)
If DC has finished its sure going to be interesting which direction the wardrobe goes (especially with regards to Tom Ford. I'm sure many here would like to see the back of this brand since it's not simply limited to Bond's suits anymore)
This is one confusing coat. Yoox has several BC linen suits for sale at the moment and to my untrained eye they look the same. Even if your goal is just "close enough," it's hard to tell the difference between "brown" and "dove gray," let alone which is closest to the SA jacket.

I think Tom Ford should leave with Craig, each actor should have their own designer to further differentiate their portrayal.

Just received the Thomas Pink tie with the help from a fellow member, here it is next to one of the TF ties. As you can see its slightly wider then the TF one. All in all its a really beautiful tie with great details and flourishes. Its interesting to think that this might be the last tie we ever see Daniel Craig's Bond wearing if he doesn't return.
I somewhat agree. The actors physique is a factor which designer to pick. TF is perfect for Craigs athletic build.
I take it you didn't see Skyfall?
I think its interesting that so much flak is thrown at the tight fitting suits in SF when in SP I thought the tightness of the suits was way more noticeable on screen. When he lands on the chair in Mexico city for example. Also some of his casual clothes looked too tight which I don't think is a complaint SF gets.
They had to size up for action sequences. A well-tailored suit should allow a full range of movement.
Sure, you can always find faults if you look for them, but the suits in Skyfall and Spectre had some major faults that you didn't have to look for to see. Here's a posed still (not an action shot) that shows rumples through the waist and hips that shouldn't be there. The suit is a mess.
He looks like he got a little too chunky for the suit. The jacket also needs another inch in length so his bum isn't sticking out the bottom.

I, for one, hope that Tom Ford continues to supply the tailored clothing for the next Bond actor. If the suits aren't going to fit properly, at least they'll be high-quality ill-fitting suits as long as Ford's involvement continues. And if the suits do fit next time, all the better. .

Did you think any of the SP casual outfits were too tight? specifically the ending London outfit.

Well we all know TF suits can look good because the QoS suits were some of the best of any of the Bond tailoring.
It's not the suit that's the issue, it's either the costume designer or possibly the actor having too much influence. Did JT state she had the suits cut close to the body to show off DC's physique? Matt S has already evidenced what a poor mindset that was compared to proper tailoring.
Haha guys guys. I had no problem with TF in Skyfall. If you look for faults you'll find it, every time.
Any examples perhaps?

That outfit was tight, but I wouldn't say too tight. The trousers have elastic in them so they can stretch. They jacket didn't fit perfectly, but it wasn't too tight. The jumper was tight, but knits can stretch and conform to the body.
Can anyone tell me how true to size Orlebar Brown's shirts are? I have found measurements vs reality are just off in general.
I wear a normal USA XL, but for Sunspel the XXL is too small. Fred Perry the XL is just perfect...
So I am about to buy the Orlebar Brown "Morton" in Sky at a great price, but they only have XL. Any advice is most appreciated.
I take a L Sunspel Polo (for a fitted, smart look) XL for a relaxed look.
My OB linen shirt (can't remember whether it's Malone or Morton now 8-) )is an XL and it is slim fitting with long arms. I'd say similar to a L Sunspel.
It took me a while to find a good alternative to the BC Morocco suit, but finally I was able to compile this combination for a wedding a couple weekends ago. This outfit was perfect for the wedding too because it was an outdoor ceremony. I just wish the weather would've been better!
~The jacket is a clearance blazer from J Crew.
~Tie is from Viola Milano in light chocolate.
~The pants are from Banana Republic.
~The shoes are suede desert boots (Kentons) again from J Crew.

I too would like to see the end of Tom Ford and a return to affordability as seen in Casino Royale. Nice gear but a bit more affordable.

I think Casino Royale and Skyfall had the perfect blend of luxury goods and more affordable items that fit the character. Quantum of Solace had a perfect wardrobe too even though it was a clear domination by Tom Ford. Spectre it got kind of out of hand. I know Bond has a dash of unattainable and wears "the best" but its easier to picture Bond shopping at N.Peal or Barbour then Dior or Matchless.

As an American, I have found that I need to size up with OB.

Hope that makes sense.
David, how soon until that Vlog is up? Can't wait to see that suit.
No it won't but lucky for some getting it at £25 I bought it at full price a couple of months ago
Weather depending it will be up this weekend.
