If anyone's wondering what the Vintage Black Matchless Craig blouson looks like, here it is . It's very nice indeed, the natural beige colour just didn't suit me at all. This is a very dark jet matt black.
On my screen the color looks almost like the "soil" color of the JV split seam jacket. If only....
They do also do a new "Military green" version that is more of a mid brown in real life. But trust me this is a very dark jet black. It almost looks like soot and I had to check my hands the first time I held it!
For anyone's who's interested: I ordered a L and XL of this jacket as they were 20% off retail (making it £695), So on Saturday I am returning the L back for a refund unless anyone here wants to buy it from me instead ? Goes without saying it's mint unworn and withbtags attached. I've only had it 2 days.
It is Brunello Ccucinelii. Code as above. I picked it up for a lot less and it is a great fit. I recently got the BC gaberdine trousers also, but they are out getting lengthened. It will be interesting to see how they go together. Either way its a great jacket, fantastic material and very light. I like it a lot.
Ah, gotcha. No wonder that one stuck out as a good possible alternative! )
I saw this very same jacket, as part of a suit, available (until recently) from Neiman Marcus. It was being sold at a hefty discount, but still in the $1,500-$2,000 range. Perhaps some unsold suits will end up at their Last Call outlet locations. But the jacket definitely jumped out at me as it had the correct pocket configuration and was very close in color. Here were a few pics I managed to grab of the suit -
Kind regards,
Craig
Suit looks good! The material is really great. SA or not, a good buy.
Dont wait for your ship to come in. Swim out and meet the bloody thing.
Thanks guys! Definately post pics of the jacket with the pants. It will be interesting to see how they look. Isn't it always that way, you get the item in that you wanted to pair with another item that is tied up at the tailors. It never fails.
The colours always hard to capture in pics, but Ill give it a go.
BC jacket as discussed earlier in the thread. Gabardine BC trousers semi-correct but from a later season. BC brown knit tie because it seemed a reasonable match. BC belt correct from film. Boots correct from film. Shirt Mastai Ferretti, cos I like them. TF sunglasses correct. Works for me. :007)

Absolutely stunning outfit man! Extremely well put together. Just as good as the original! {[]

I second that! Great look! -{
“What is your occupation?”
“That’s not the sort of thing that looks good on a form."
Thanks all! The BC knit tie is the relative steal. They are circa $85 on eBay.
I saw those and was thinking of grabbing. Might not be pointed, but it's BC and knitted in a very similar color, so it fits the bill as far as I'm concerned.
I was thrilled to arrive home today and find a package waiting for me from Brunello Cucinelli. This was inside -
And if that wasn't good enough, there was also another package delivered to me at work containing this little piece -
While not seen on-screen in Spectre, it certainly got some mileage during the photocalls and premieres for the film.
I'm thrilled beyond words, especially with this jacket - screen accurate down to the smallest details! I have to give the necessary props to Blair for this one! He pulled off nothing short of an amazing feat by working with the team at BC in Italy to have the jacket custom made, when the correct jacket was nowhere to be found. Well done, sir! And as a side note, Luca and Domitille at BC were fantastic to work with to get this one made for me. Their attention to detail and care in delivering nothing but the best in customer service really stands out in this day and age where those traits are sadly lacking at so many designer boutiques.
Domitille was great for me at BC (Luca not so much, he stopped responding). I wore mine to a late summer wedding!
Also congrats on the tie! Did BC track it down? If so thats great they found it! I fluked one on eBay, yet to wear it but its very cool and I loved it as soon as I saw the photocall!
You have had a great day indeed {[]
And yes - Blair paved the way with this one! If only I could grab the damn belt!
Great stuff Craig. -{ that's a very good day indeed. BC corner the market on the quality of their material. I'm sure it will get some decent wear this summer. Enjoy.

Amazing jacket and a big congratulations! {[] I missed the boat on this BC deal. Is this something we can contact BC about to have them make? What was the price, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks Commandant! Little deviations like that are fine with me for this jacket, I will have to check out my local outlet. However, I am a 42 IT, so my chances of finding one in my size are slim, but ya never know! -{

Craig,
Great jacket which I'm sure you'll enjoy wearing! Nice tie as well, for anyone looking for a close alternative, spotted this one at T&A when I bought my Brosnan TWINE tie.

CRB, thanks for the tip! I've been waiting for the price to come down out of the stratosphere (relatively speaking this counts).

It's not a very representative picture but I like the tie either way. It's very similar colour to the BC one I bought too.
