Had my Sunday morning email from Hackett and look what is in the SS15 line up...

No arms, but shows how on-trend this hybrid quilt jacket style is. It's not for me, but I'm guessing that it will be awash the various FW15 collections. Maybe Hackett will do a FW15 version with arms.

At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if Uniqlo comes out with a version.

Screen grab from last nights Comic relief Bond Special. Its not a very clear picture from the screen grab, but in HD it looked amazing. The Bond parody was absolutely brilliant.

Midnight blue tux, Seamaster 300 on NATO strap, what a delight.

    Its still on BBC iplayer

Guys I must admit , this is looking identical to the Moncler feature to be for sale at Harrods , nice commitment from those whole plunged their money into the jacket hoping it'd pay off as it seems almost certain to be the Moncler. I'm still delighted with my £100 alternative and would highly recommend people look at the super.natural combustion jacket as alternative. With the Solden scenes being a pinnacle part of the film and most likely a major part in the story id personally go for the jacket or look for a close example as I think it'll have a similar impact and prominence as the X To Ki To Barbour did in Skyfall.

Also to add to the potential of an alternative I've contacted Daniel Love about the subject and given him my views and suggestion on maybe getting one of these off the ground before the films approaches so we can see what prevails of it in the coming weeks.

    All the best for now and based on today's action I may don a certain jacket!! -{

anyone know a stockist for a black supernatural?

from that pic we can see that he's wearing a black/grey Nato strap "in action" that's not a 100% confirmation that the Seamaster 300 hangs on it.

Don't get me wrong - the context leads to the SM 300 with that Nato, but it's not a definitive confirmation.

interesting that he is wearing a nato strap withe a suit?
normally we see DC with a metal strap with formal dress and the nato when casual?

Good call DBS. These look good on DC but IMO I much prefer the look of the Persol 2672 in Casino Royale.

I am guessing the earphones in the top picture are "off camera" ie not in the film?

whats wrong with Topman? I love those pants and fit perfectly for him being down and out.

They're very far from the best, as MrZareba said Bond should wear. They didn't look so great on him either, which might have been the point. It looks like they shrank in the wash, which would probably happen to cheap trousers like those.

Having owned the same trousers ..and washed them ..i can confirm mine DONT shrink in the wash..

Actually, Connery usually wore a Gruen dress watch his suits. I believe he is only seen wearing the Rolex on the NATO strap with the white dinner jacket in Goldfinger. I can foregive the Rolex with the dinner jacket since Bond was diving in it (under a dry suit). In Dr. No and From Russia with Love he is seen with the Submariner on a black leather band, once in the former with the glen check suit on the dock and briefly in the latter with his grey pick-and-pick suit in the Soviet consulate. Otherwise he wears the Gruen dress watch with his suits and evening wear in all of Connery's Bond films except Thunderball.

I remember reading in the Empire article on SPECTRE that he listens to his iPod just before a take to psych himself up/get himself in the zone.

Yeah, not unless Apple is paying to have Beats in the film. Otherwise, they'd probably be something Sony branded.

So how close is this Tux to the Skyfall one? Still kicking myself I passed up on a cheap SA one in my size last year :(

I had to size a half size up on these Danners compared to C&J.
Still not sure if they aren't to short. On the other hand if I would size up again they might be too loose.
They kind of have an unusual toe shape. Maybe the have to be broken in more.
BUT: they are really comfortable. They come shipped with an insole and with that it was not problem waking with them right from the start. Just feels a bit short from time to time :-)

The shirt and tie look like the ones from Quantum of Solace. I'm still trying to find a way to watch it in the US.
