Just curious what the JV jacket is going for? I can't find any for sale online. Does anyone know the MSRP and secondary market prices?

    All sold out.

There was one on eBay for $1300 I believe but had no bids when I last looked.

Its being reissued later in the year anyhow

MSRP is $798. Most sale prices were $479. Hautelook was less. Secondary market is still to be determined. The $1300 eBay auction is ludicrous. Like the Amazon sellers listing a book for $999.

Bloomingdales was more...both in MSRP and sale price...

That's one thing I've noticed since QoS. Use to, you could share your findings and all was good. Now it seems more and more items end up on eBay from people hoping to make a quick profit.

Anyhow, I'm guessing DC wore a medium, and if the JV jacket was used in an action sequence, it's very likely a large number (>20) were used in filming. That said, if you find a medium... :007)

I'd be interested in an XL if one becomes available.

Apparently 30 were bought for filming, and the 7 were returned to the JV store in London. My brother grabbed a small from the returned batch.

I bought a large from the London store a week ago today! The thought of it being somehow part of the Spectre production obviously makes me extra happy. One thing I don't get though, is why the studios would order 30 JV jackets in different sizes (from S to XL) when Daniel Craig is clearly a Medium...was it for the stuntmen or for action vs hero shots?!?

That part is strange....I can understand a series of mediums (his size) and larges (for stunt work, riggings, wires etc), but small? But then perhaps they were sent over not knowing what size would fit him best so they were covering their bases...

    Hey Jigen,
you wouldn't happen to know if there are any Smalls left in the London store, would you? (or would you have an email address for the store?)

    Thanks.
  • JigenJigen Posts: 78MI6 Agent
I remember being told they had two Smalls left, but that was last Thursday!
I don't have their email address but the store's phone number is 02037432230.

One member got an email from JV customer care stating that the jacket will be reissued in October. Also Magnoli Clothiers is looking into a replica.

I eagerly await the posts comparing the original run to the reissue. I wonder if it will be like all the Billy Reid peacoat posts.

    Thanks a lot Jigen,
I'll give them a ring and see if there is any luck.

How could I forget? You just know any perceived differences in color, seams, or stitching will be dissected for pages. And I will probably be part of that conversation. :))

    So is Wested ...

Darn phone replacing Magnoli with Magnolia. Nice to hear about Wested. I've considered getting a TND leather jacket. That's the first piece of Bond clothing I ever wanted.

Wested Leather over here in the UK. They can trace some of their pedigree back in involvement in supplying the original leather jackets for the early Indy films (Raiders / ToD), although Peter was working for B&N then, where as this is his own workshop in Kent.

Peter is super nice, has a great reputation amongst the Indy Gear community and will make you pretty much any leather jacket, customised to the leather, features and fit you specify; all for a very reasonable price.

Anyone know the quality of Wested's Jackets?
I have seen the Casino Royale Leather Jacket and I love it.

I don't know about anything other than their Indiana Jones jackets. I've yet to hear anyone complain about the quality of those and I probably know a dozen people who have them.

Yoox have a Linen John Varvatos jacket with a pretty similar shape for £150, decent "budget" alternative

Well I was on the fence about the look of the Sanders but thought what the hell...

They arrived today and they are very cool indeed!! Only problem is they are a little narrow, prob should have gone half size up but will try breaking them in!

Thumbs up from me! I paid £155 with international shipping
