I'd say the black three-piece suit in Spectre promises to be quite iconic. Maybe the polo neck with the holster could be iconic, but David McCallum and later Steve McQueen and Roger Moore have already made that look iconic.
I was thinking the same thing, so far the black 3-piece is the only outfit that really stands out, probably because its meant too.
Personally dissapointed in the clothing so far from spectre, it is really lacking the iconic pieces skyfall had. Let us hope for better to come, because so far it is looking bland.

As of now I am still most interested in the clothing from the confrontation with Mr.White.. That jacket looks outstanding.. Although if I remember from earlier in this thread it is supposed to be a TF piece correct ? (Which translates to forget about it on a police Sgt's budget !)... ) Still.. really cool look.

I think the JV ensemble is a classic, Morocco could be too... Add in improved suits, Mr White outfit and a white tux too ? Shaping up well imo ? Not keen on the TF / Vuarnet look, but it is for a reason most likely.
Skyfall had some great "wearable" looks, as did CR and QS... But I think Spectre will join them, lets hope Matchless dont price all us mere mortals out of it with decent pricing...

The Skyfall outfits only became "iconic" once they were contextualized in the film. We'll have to wait and see what kind of badassery is committed by Craig in these various outfits.
I disagree, the Istanbul look was already something special as was the Barbour, way before the film came out. The film cemented them by all means, but it was The promo pictures and the book where these outfits really caught your eye and had something particular about them. The matchless and the JV look like zara specials in different colours. Watch Kingsman the secret service, it had a specific look and style very much in the old vein of Bond. in fact I bought everything I could from The Mr porter collection. maybe the glacier outfit will be the one, but the three piece so far from the photos and in fairness they are cbad photos, makes Dc look like a foorman who opens the door for you outside a hotel, he just needs a top hat.

I couldn't agree more with you. Skyfall had some truly iconic outfits. I have not been wowed yet by a Spectre outfit. I'm not giving up hope though.
I like the black leather jacket. It is slightly different from the layer cake jacket. The button on the cuff makes me wonder if its another matchless jacket.

True, definitely too early to judge, I may have jumped the gun. I will definitely have to see the film before I can really say what works and what doesn't. I am excited about the Mr. White outfit, it looks interesting.
