    There is a TWINE cased CP99 + video on Gunstar at the moment

    Yes I saw that at weekend but I was unsure if it was a correct item or just something cobbled together by the owner as in my humble opinion it wasnt anything too special, just a standard unarex cp99 with a TWINE DVD enclosed in a black carry case. I was hoping for something a little more special such as a bond carry case / silencer etc or even maybe a 007 seriel number or bond style etching on the gun. Any advice welcome. kind regards, Mark

    You could always buy a regular CP99 and a Casino Royale suppressor from Factory Q-Branch?

    Hi Mark,

    If you're looking for a 007 serial number on airsoft see if you can source a Maruzen P99, I have several and all the main bodies have the serial number 001007 positioned below the cocking indicator, the movie editions have a matching number engraved into the metal outer barrel. But word of warning, never ever try to dismantle the lower firing mechanism it's crazy complicated.

    My favorite remains the ARES WA2000 sniper rifle, which also uses the 007 in the serial number on the gun and box, but they're tough to source, amazing piece of engineering though.

    Finally, Maruzen re-released their range of PP models in 2014, check out sellers like Redwolf Airsoft and ehobbyasia, they usually have the PPK/s available and their service is excellent.

    There are some amazing stores in Hong Kong for upgrades, but few have usable websites, so PM me if you have any specific requirements on that front and I'll see if I can help.

    Good Luck

    Thanks Gadget Meister, it looks the business. Sadly its not something that I know anything about and at the risk of boring the people who do know lots about it I would really appreciate if you elabortated on the topic such as where you got it, what it looks and feels like, what the differences in silencers are and how it afects value, whether its a blank firer / air gun / air soft etc. Just anything else you can think off if you get the time. kind regards, Mark Rothwell

    Old GM's WA2000 there is an airsoft copy of a real gun, the Wather WA2000. GM's copy is made by a company called Ares, and the airsoft copies are now as rare as the real deal.

    Walther made the WA2000 as a sniper rifle back in the 80's I think, and only a few hundred were made. I believe total production numbers are less than 300. It was available in a few different calibres, .308 Winchester being a popular choice. The WA2000 differs from the usual sniper format because it's a bullpup rifle, which means the bolt and chamber are behind the trigger, quite a distance behind in fact. This allows the rifle to be physically much shorter than a conventional rifle, but the barrel length remains the same so accuracy isn't effected.

    The WA2000 is used in the living daylights as Bond takes a pot shot at crap KGB sniper-come-cello tickler Kara 'just about useless at everything' Milovy. It's a great scene and a fantastic film, Higgins will confirm this.

    I've seen the Ares WA2000 airsoft guns going for around 2k, an the real Walthers fetching easily 5 figures.

    The sight used is an AN/PVS-4 sight and the little thing on the side is something else, not common knowledge and I've been trused with that info so I'm not going to blurt it out in case it pisses off who told me.

    I have full plans of this rifle on file and intend one day to build a stock to fit one of my real rifles to it.

    By the way, before ARES WA2000 came along, there were Asahi WA2000 and Geneth WA2000 - both are more rare - but I think ARES version looks the best -{

    Did Bond get it from the hobo cleaning the restroom in Bratislava? :)

    It IS a cool piece, though. and if I had $80K U.S. I'd buy a WA 2000!
