My photography skills are somewhat lacking. Trying to get a good photo where the light wasn't bouncing off the lid and making funny shadows was a challenge.

Trying to color/texture match the blue material was tough because you see slightly different shades of blue on on the boxes of most of the photos I've got for reference, plus it had to have that leatherish texture.
Given that this single box both features the darker color you can sometimes see, and the brighter blue - depending on lighting conditions in the photos, seals the deal for me that I've got the right material.
I'll have more of these available for people who would like one and I'll soon have some pricing info. Just trying to figure out how inexpensively I can do these. Takes a bit of time printing, embossing, cutting the top paper and all the sides and applying the adhesive, not to mention that the blue paper wasn't cheap.
A couple of you gave me some help with some reference and I'll be contacting you once I've got a few of these out the door as well.

As James Bond said in Casino Royale "I'm all in". Can't wait to add this to my collection.

So, what sharp little eyes you've got...wait till you get to my teeth.

I'll send you a pic of yours with the real one when I get it, so you can see the colour difference. But it looks spot on.
I want to have about a half dozen put together before I start taking orders. The plan is going to be to just offer the box with the insert at this time.
I've got a plan to do some faux 3 gold band cigarettes as well but if I wait until I get that all ready to go it's going to put the project farther behind. I did some tests and it's a real pain to foil and cut the cigarette papers. I've got an idea of how to do it easier, but If I'm just doing the boxes or just doing the cigarettes it's going to be easier to produce "production line" style and I can keep the amount of time each project takes (and therefore, the cost down).
Should have more details in a few days. Again, the guys who helped with reference will get a set gratis as soon as I get a few out the door to pay for my costs.
I have a piece of Morlands stationary kicking around here somewhere. They wrote to tell me they were no longer producing the "Bond" three ring cigarettes shortly before they closed their doors.
I'm working on a documentary about spy fiction presented by Andrew Marr for BBC4. We will obviously be looking at Ian Fleming's Bond in the programme and I'm looking for certain props to complete this section of the film. I'm specifically looking for James Bond's brand of cigarettes / cigarette box: Moorland of Grosvenor Street. I was hoping one of you might be able to help me source these items? We're obviously happy to pay to rent or buy the items from whoever might be able to provide them.
I've made a couple of good copies but I'm having trouble with my laser printer, getting the right density of toner for the gold to stick to the textured paper, but not so much that it degrades the details. The laser printer I had previous access to I'd found the right setting to get good prints just about every time. The plan is for me to get a new printer after tax time. Until then I'm sort of on hold as far as offering these here at this time. Hopefully soon.
I finally got confirmation that these were used in the BBC production "Slueths, Spies, and Sorcerers" by Andrew Marrs. It was released on BBC4 last year and was used in part of the documentary where they interview Bond author William Boyd. The Morlands were sitting on the desk along with other Bond-type accoutrements. Here are a few screenshots of the Morland box I produced for the show.
I think I figured out the big technical problem I had with producing these, so I should have a few of these for sale in the near future. It was one of those "lighting bolt" things that came to me that was holding me up for making them for other people. Producing the box top image is a multi-step process and I had to do it 5 times before I got one good enough to send to the BBC. They are coming out nice and clean now.
