Recently found both series of Phoenix Nights on Youtube, a great Peter Kay comedy with lots of funny characters.

Does anyone watch The Last Leg, hosted by Adam Hills?

Currently watching Lost. My friend's favourite show.
Been watching Midsomer Murders and Foyles war as well.

Midsomer Murders is good. I like that the victims die in inventive ways.one death that sticks out, is when a man is killed by a bottle of wine fired by a catapult.

Yes. Thats Oliver Ford-Davies in season 9 episode, Hidden Depths. I love the subtle humour in the show. John Nettles is a fine actor. (I have no care for the new guy). Interestingly enough Nettles was in another long-lived Detective show. Bergerac in the 80's. Mystery show set on Jersey. Anyone remember that one?

I've been watching the Granada Sherlock Holmes series starring Jeremy Brett as Holmes and David Burke/Edward Hardwicke as Watson.

I've been very impressed with the series and the faithfulness with which they adapted the original Sherlock Holmes series. I've enjoyed every Holmes adaptation I've watched, from the Basil Rathbone series of the 1940s to the BBC Sherlock series and even the Robert Downey Jr films (Game of Shadows is what got me into Holmes in the first place). The Jeremy Brett version is probably my favourite though. He captures the eccentricity and genius of Holmes very well. Both Watson actors also do a fantastic job, and the period details, costumes and sets are very nicely done.

Not as Good as Midsomer, but still great television. Nettles is a fine actor and the guest stars are fantastic. Sadly the show is not what it once was. Back when Horowitz was a screenwriter for the show. Micahel Kitchen (who has playyed Tanner twice in the Brosnan era) is in Foyle's war. Set in 40's Britain, its about a Detective during WW2. Fantastic show with brilliant actors and edge of seat plot-lines.
Granada's Sherlock series is fantastic as well. I own the last season. Filmed not long before Brett's death.

I watched the Pilot of Elementary and I thought it was, Okay.
Not a fan of remakes. Something the Americans have been doing a lot of lately. With Broadchurch, Top Gear, etc. Turning Watson into a woman and stuff. It surprised me though.
shall I continue watching it?

I've watched them all and thoroughly enjoy them...isn't it in its third series now..?..so you have a lot of catching up to do if you do continue to watch them )

Speaking of 'Twin Peaks', I just rewatched season one recently. Fantastic show, though as a big David Lynch fan, I am a bit biased. Agent Dale Cooper is a great character.

Other recent viewing:

* Season two of 'Arrow', which is a great superhero show even for those not really into superhero shows.

* Rewatching parts of 'True Detective', which I consider to be probably the best TV series/8-hour film/onscreen novel ever made. The acting, writing, cinematography, and music are all just amazing. The show itself is a heady mix of crime drama, character study, Lovecraftian horror, existentialism, nihilism, and even neuroscience. Like the aforementioned Dale Cooper, Rust Cohle is one of my favorite fictional characters.

I'm currently in the process of re-watching all five seasons of The Wire, the greatest television series of all time. This series provided my first real exposure to the great Idris Elba, although I realized some time ago that I first saw a young Mr. Elba in the "orgy" episode of Absolutely Fabulous!

I found it very interesting. Dark. Moody and some parts quite horrific. Must finish it.

I've been watching 'The Curse of Oak Island' on History channel. The season finale was last Tuesday here in the U.S. I do love a good treasure hunt.

Just started watching the first (and, to date, only) season of The Affair. Two episodes in, I am hooked. It is very uncomfortable to watch, which is fun. So far, it is all told in flashback via a police interrogation, like much of True Detective was done. What's different here is that the same events are described by two different people, and suffice it to say their accounts have major differences. Interested in seeing how it plays out over the remaining eight episodes.

Just treated myself to the Sopranos on Blu ray! I must have seen each episode 5 times but there is just something so speacial about revisiting your most loved tv show in HD! Season 3 now!
