    Honestly it's easy, just pull the waxed strip back as far as you can to expose the attached zip material..... then 'snip'.

    I did it on one I owned. Just take your time and rewax the parts where you removed them.
    It will be hardly noticeable and you will be the only one that can see where you removed them.
