Billy Reid Quail Jacket

Hi guys,

does anybody own the Billy Reid Waxed Quail Jacket? (reportedly would have been used instead of the barbour commander in Skyfall)

I ended up buying it at the time, however I feel it is in need of a re-wax and wanted to hear of any experiences?

I was going to do it myself with either Fjallraven greenland wax or Barbours thornproof dressing. The jacket always had a very dry feel to it, even from new, and was never slick.

Any thoughts on how best to do this?

I've done it on my Tokito jacket. It takes time, that's for sure.

Ended up going with the Greenland wax - took ages but seems to have worked out ok, albeit the overall colour has darkened slightly. Had to go over it a few times with the hairdryer to get an even application as the Greenland wax tends to be a bit patchy.

Will probably use barbour wax next time.
