What sort of music do you think James Bond would listen to?

Serious question here. I'm sure members would be convinced that 007 blasted Iggy Azalea from his Aston's stereo.
but what music do you think he would listen to by himself, if any?

Fora while I've thought Bond might of listened to classical. Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma.

The Indian Love call by Nelson Eddy and Jeanette McDonald
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n_bUSywN94
    And possibly Puccini

I always pictured him to play soft music or something.

Probably whatever upper class country club men listened to back then.

Nowadays, there's no music reserved for modern-day classy people, so Craig will just listen to rock.

Wasn't classical and jazz mentioned in the books? Perhaps the modern ones.

One music reference I remember from the literary Bond is that he owns a 78rpm of Ma Rainey singing 'New Bo-Weavil Blues' in John Gardner's Scorpius.

It's a simple question, but I'm not sure what you mean here. Why would I be convinced that Bond listens to Iggy Azalea? What is the difference between Bond in his Aston and Bond by himself?

This is the album Tiffany is listening to when Bond first visits her apartment in DAF: http://www.recordsfromshelf.com/george-feyer-echoes-of-paris He likes it, and memorizes the number for future reference.
That's from the novel- in the film John Barry's music is of course heard ("Tiffany Case" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72WjZ02DdN0) at this point. And Bond has a complete collection of John Barry's music, though he prefers his earlier jazz style to his later more symphonic work. :D

The modern DC bond would probably listen to St Germaine, particularly loving the track 'so flute'.

This is nothing to do with me liking it... ;)

I don't believe he would listen to music by himself. not that he wouldn't be aware of what is going on, but he would be more into the where and when of a recording was made...and the players. I know people like this...that don't even watch movies or tv. as he wouldn't be on a fansite like this looking up what his fav character is up to.

Bond listens to the titles songs of each movie, John Barry soundtracks, and the Bond theme for special occasions.

I seriously hope he does not listen to Kenny G. :#

I doubt he even likes music.

It's interesting that in all the years that Bond films have been made, we know next to nothing about this. A good question. We know he doesn't care for the Beatles. Daniel Craig's Bond is a Gen-Xer, and he and I are almost exactly the same age (which is why they'd better start making films faster), but if he grew up on the stuff I did, along with his dark personality, I'm guessing more like Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, that sort of thing, along with classical jazz and symphonies. His Bond is much moodier, so maybe he would be into the blues. I'd think he would still be listening to modern music, too, leaning toward the nostalgia craze that ironically is where the next artist for the theme song should be coming from.
