Tom Ford Cardigan Sizing

I was hoping one of our members who own this item, in a 50 or 52, would be generous enough to provide me with a few measurements?

Length 27 inches (base of collar to hem)
Sleeves outer 27 inches (with cuffs fully turned up, u can di tgese less to make the sleeves longer

    Hope that helps

I am selling a same sized Self clothing black shawl too. As new and about the best one non TF I ever found.

Thank you. I appreciate you measuring and posting those. I wanted a comparison of the TF and measurements I had taken off of a different cardigan before I send mine into Magnoli for his replica.

Good luck with your sell on the Self clothing shawl.

From my experience, having owned the Magnoli version at one point, there isn't as much stretch in the cardy as there is with the TF. The Magnoli was a bit "stiffer." So you may need to keep that in mind when determining your measurements.

    Kind regards,
    Craig

No probs. Craig is right. The knit on the TF is very "stretchy". So bear this in mind when ordering... Hope it arrives looking good...

    Ive had two size 54s

The first was from a member here and I was not sure if had been washed. It fit perfectly but was worn in a bit so I sold it and jumped at the opportunity to buy another from TF Milan when they had them back in stock. The new 54 arrived and its quite baggy so disappointed a bit with the size and wished it fit like the older one.

Anyhow my point is that there could be some size fluctuations by Tom Ford or my first one had shrunk a little.

How do you guys wash these anyhow?

Do you think it would be advisable to add 0.5-1" to the pit to pit measurement?

Only you can decide that. SA fit isnt tight, bucks the trend for tight fit, more relaxed and sits nicely below the waist...

    Hi guys

Thought I would chime in with my 2c as I got Magnoli's QoS cardigan a few months ago. Overall I think the cardigan is great. As someone mentioned, there's not much "give" so especially watch out with your shoulder measurements. I found my normal chest measurements were fine.

When I got it, I only had to make one alteration. I had to square the back of the neck because of my hunched shoulders. At first the shawl part wasn't staying rolled. But it was an easy fix by my tailor.

Also FYI the rolled sleeve comes stitched. I'm sure you can unstitch it and roll it yourself if you need to get the right sleeve length.

The only change I would make to my measurement is to maybe add an extra inch to the length. And finally I had just one criticism about the width of the shawl collar. Looking at pics of the original it just looks wider and therefore more luxurious.

Good luck with your order, overall I think you will be happy with the result.
