Least accurate actors (to Fleming's novels)

I would guess the majority of people would say Roger Moore was the least accurate Bond. In a sense I could understand that. He wanted to differentiate himself as much as possible, such as smoking cigars instead of cigarettes or doing things that Fleming's Bond would never do (such as goofily sucking a jewel out of a girl's belly button among many other examples.
At the same time, there are aspects of Roger Moore's Bond that I do see in Fleming's writing, such as the overall British gentlemanly demeanor and those immersive moments when Moore actually gets angry. While Moore had a really really really liberal interpretation of Bond, I saw a little bit of him in Fleming's Bond.
Brosnan was a more safe interpretation, but I didn't see any of Brosnan in Fleming's Bond. Brosnan's dark moments were overshadowed by Dalton/Craig. Moore/Connery overshadowed him in the British elite fine-tastes sense. Perhaps Brosnan felt a bit too innocent, tame, soft, even to be the nervous and rough 007 in Fleming's Casino Royale. I'm not sure.

There was nothing of Flemings Bond in Brosnans portrayal. His Bond is pure cinema and you watch his motions they are all for screen He played Remington Steele for Bond.
From the books did I read, I would almost put Craig at the top of the list because Fleming always let us know what Bond was THINKING, which obviously can't easily be conveyed without words in films - but I have found Craig emotes well and his acting range gives us a pretty good idea what he is thinking, which I would also argue is usually in line with Fleming Bond's emotions.
Out of all the actors, there are certain Bond traits we agree are universal - his charm, his coldness, his intelligence, his masculinity. all stemming from the novels. But it seems every actor has a different emphasis on these traits: Perhaps Connery and Lazenby amped up the masculinity, Moore amping the charm and intelligence, Dalton amping the coldness, Brosnan and Craig seeming to hold on to a decent balance, with Craig amping the masculinity a notch.
It's all about building a character I've always wished Craig's Bond would have smoked 60 a day and to hell with the PR backlash!! Stay true to the material ! That would have been the perfect Bond!
Brown, there's a scene where Michael Caine, as an old guy, gets up,
Shuffles to the kitchen. To make some toast and tea, cleans up and gets
Dressed.
No dialogue, just Caine " Acting" and it's brilliant. {[]
