Perhaps the space station can be a secret naval base on a far-off island ..... or on Guernsey?
Or perhaps an enormous "mothership" floating somewhere?

Maybe we should do TSWLM instead- a very big ship could maybe have existed in those times, and is easy to describe. Similarly Jaws is simply a silent giant.

    It's your call, Vladimir :D

...only if I get a lot of help from you and the other guys.

( In a cabin Sir James, is entertaining a young maiden )
Maiden: " Sir James, I cannot findeth the words."
Sir James:" Then did let me tryeth and enlarge thy vocabulary"
    ( suddenly an arrow strikes
A beam above sir James's head, from the attached parchment He reads ... )
Sir James " I'm to withdraw at once, something big has a risen "
Maiden: " True, Sir James you are like a mighty stallion, ..... "
Sir James: " Nay, I must away "
Maiden: " But Sir James I needith thee "
Sir James: " so dos't The Realm that is England !"
( Sir James leaves, as the maiden signals from a window to a bunch of knaves, who
Attack Sir James but he easily dispatches them and jumps to his ship displaying a
    Large Union Jack )
    a watching Jack-Tar " Nobody dost 't better"

Just for fun, I'm not starting anything :D

Good, but why isn't Bond on skis? Or a toboggan?
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,276MI6 Agent
If he's on skis, he might use a bow to shoot a ski pole at one of the knaves.

I thought it may have been difficult to perform on stage ;)

It should be just as easy as using a boat or any number of other things described in these plays. :)

Too late, you already have! :D

So we're off on "Ye Agent of Discretion Who Held Me in Great Affection"... Unless someone can come up with a snappier title!

Could Bond start down the hill on skis, shoot a knave using bow and ski pole (possibly just throw it like a spear), fall and break one ski, comandeer a toboggan/sledge and go past a bad cover band? Finally he is on the shore. He sees a boat with a Union Jack sail (or should it be English flag at that time?), board it and join the lovely lady in the boat?

Save the bad cover band for AVTAK, methinks. In fact, all of that!
  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,768Chief of Staff
I'm thinking of missing Frederick Gray out altogether and just doing a normal M/007 briefing scene...?
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
i thought a quick joke ( from M perhaps) could be, in the film Bond says he
served on the Ark Royal, for Shakespeare he could say he was on the
    Mary Rose ?

Oh, I mixed up the two movies ;%
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,276MI6 Agent
I should sit down and re-watch RM Bond movies :))
  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,768Chief of Staff
Oh the Mary Rose line is exactly the right tone, that has to go in!

I have an idea for the briefing scene which I'll work on later (grandkids playing on PC for the next few hours) and run past you guys to see what you think.

The main thing is we have to simplify the plot a lot with this one! Just selected scenes rather than trying to do the whole scenario.

Could Bond be briefed by two Ms ? ( Admiral Hargreaves )

And in a much later scene, Jaws is rescued by a small blonde woman. He smiles, showing his scary metal teeth. She smiles back, showing her braces....
  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,768Chief of Staff
    Oh, wait a minute...
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
:)) Maybe Jaws has taken a vow of silence until he finds true love ?

The Karl Marx seems a bit modern for XXX to serve onboard. Perhaps Ivan the Terrible? Or we could make a joke out of it:

Admiral Pushkin: I thank’ee, General Gogol. Greetings, XXX- thine service was on the Tsar Ivan IV, was it not?
    XXX: Aye, sire.
Admiral Pushkin: I hope it was't unpleasant?
XXX: No, I didn't find it terrible at all.

Or some joke along those lines.
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
I think it's because XXX mentioned the Karl Marx in the film ? So it's a tie in. Or
To show off our knowledge of Russian cinema " The battleship Potemkin " ;)

I know she mentioned it in the film (though I have trouble finding both TSWLM and MR in my DVD collection.
I know I have it somewhere ?:) ) But we try to customize the stories to Shakespear's time.
We alos try to inject jokes here and there. Do you know any jokes, TP? :D
  • ThunderpussyThunderpussy Behind you !Posts: 63,792MI6 Agent
If we can get a few scenes together and then insert some jokes, Barbel has already started
With Hargreaves mentioning how he liked M's office, as he'd be taking it over. ;)
