Is my Barbour X To Ki To genuine?

Hi there, I hope you can help?
Ok, I bought this jacket off a very reputable, trusted ebayer about 18 months ago, but being the weirdo I am, i "loved" it too much to wear it, and as a result, it has just been kept in a wardrobe, unworn.
I've put it on eBay this week, and a person has shown some interest but asked that if they were to have it, could they send it to Barbour to check its authenticity....yeah right!
But this got me slightly worried, as I would never buy fakes intentionally.
I've looked through previous threads on here and compared it against the jamesbondlifestyle.com section where it is compared to the Dept B jacket.
Everything seems ok...except for the tag inside the inside pocket which has the correct model number, but my jacket is a large, and this label says small....
Anyway, if you kind folk could let me know I'd be grateful.
Thank you

I'm no expert and I'm sure there are people more qualified than me to assist you but my only thought is that the Barbour logo lettering on the tag doesn't seem quite right? The letters are spaced further apart than on other tags I've seen (or perhaps it's just my eyes!? :s

    Thank you for your reply.
do you mean the tag at the rear of the neck which shows the size just below it?

I'm with Tge Red King I'm afraid, that main 'barbour' patch with the 3 royal crests is wrong, especially the 'o, in the word Barbour, the hole in the middle is just too small. The crests also seem a little simplified and not really what you would see on a brand who is proud of its royal endorsement.

Both. The cream (price) tags also have the lettering too far apart, IMHO.

Here are some photos of my large I bought from selfridges. Hope it helps.

It shows the difference in the "O" people are referring to. Also my "sylkoil finish" tag is on the left hip pocket. Yours is on the left inside chest pocket. Apart from this (which could be legitimate production run differences) they are very close...

The embroidery on your jacket just doesn't have the finesse of a genuine Barbour. I can understand now why your eBay buyer is wanting confirmation from the maker first.

Not looking that positive I'm afraid, especially when you factor in the main tweed label, which in your jacket is too dark and far too wide (note the gap from the edges of the embroidered lines to the edge of the label).

PS The image above is from my known to be genuine jacket, bought from Barbour Manchester.

If it's a replica it's good one, hard to tell from the photos, but the main label "John Barbour & Sons" seems to be different, much more blank space around the text than on the original (as you can see if you compare with the images posted by Kadd).

Also the tartan lining (the red/yellow/white stripes in the inside) is differently woven than the original.

The 'Silkoil finish' tag is also strange, should be on the outside left front pocket.

I think if you would have an original to compare it with, the materials are probably quite different.

I would also say it's not original, but then I would keep it and wear it because it does look quite similar anyway.

If I recall correctly there were differences in the different production runs.

I have the first production run one from years back before SF was in production and one from the 2012 runs. The Sylkoil label position has always been in the same place.
