If it's at least as good as Skyfall and Casino Royale, it'll probably end up in the lower half of my top 10, where Skyfall (9th) and Casino Royale (8th) are, and may displace Goldeneye from 10th spot. That's as high as it'll go on my list because it'll never reach the true-to-the-novel perfection of my top three and the Fleming-esque qualities of the films occupying my 4th to 8th spots.
But on the whole, I agree with the person who said that this exercise is largely pointless given that the film is still being made.
As I learn more and more about Spectre, I'm thinking I'm going to like it more than any of Daniel Craig's other Bond films since it seems like it will be more like a classic Bond film. It may not be as good a film as Casino Royale and Skyfall, but I think I might still like it better.
Top half, but I'm hoping it makes it into the top 10. I expect it to be better than Skyfall, but as a modern film, with poorer quality writing than in the classic Bond films. Based on what I've seen of Mendes' directing style, I'm not sure he won't go short shrift with the locales, either. But I'm hoping this is Craig's Goldfinger.
I liked Casino Royale more than any other movie but after seeing the teaser trailer, behind the scene footages and images I can predict that it is going be the best best Bond film for me any many fans 007

01. SPECTRE !!!
With everything I've seen so far, Spectre is likely top 15 (maybe top 10). With Skyfall, it seems like everybody placed it in their top 5 without giving it proper time to sink in. I won't do that this time.
One promise I will make:
I will watch Spectre at least twice before I rank it.
Very hard to say when you haven't seen the movie yet. But given that Sam Mendes is back, and that I personally loved Skyfall. And the fact that things are shaping up to becoming as succesful as that is, I would probably say it has a fair shot to make it into my top 10 if not top 5.
It has every element to become a very high ranking Bond. Top 10, perhaps even top 5. If someone told me back in 2005 that CR would be top 5 I wouln't have believed it.

Good point! I am fully guilty of being one of the people who hated the idea of bringing in a blond Bond, hated Craig's looks, hated the rebooth idea, I was very ignorant ( a lot younger too, being born in 1990 and growing up with Brosnan... ) boy did I have a lot to learn about the franchise 10 years ago....
I am still very happy with the direction the producers took Bond in since 2006 though!

I was open to all of that 10 years ago, and after seeing Craig I was disappointed, and I'm still not convinced. But I'm always still hoping I'm going to like the next one better.
like many before me have already said, to rank SPECTRE now is nearly impossible.you can't put a movie above/behind others with only 1:30min of raw footage.of course the teaser trailer does look cool but it doesn't really tell you about the quality of the whole movie.and to say it is top(__) material just because if the director is also a bit vague.
I think in order to rate SPECTRE one has to watch it and then let it sink in a bit to get away from the general public's hype.wen SKYFALL came out I was like "best Bond ever!!!" and now that has changed for me.(what of course doesn't mean it will be the same with this one)
but of course they undeniably have a really good cast for this one, good or great locations and if you've read the script some nice surprises, so I think we are AT LEAST getting a solid movie.
so to close with the words of Pierce Brosnan, I don't think they'd be lost at sea adrift but we all have to wait till octobre comes arround. -{
P.S.: let's see what the full length trailer comes up with too
"You see Mr.Bond, you can't kill my dreams...but my dreams can kill you.Time to face destiny" - "Time to face gravity"
I love the Craig era, including the controversial QOS!
Consequently I feel sure that I will adore SPECTRE
Personally though I don't actually have a ranking list, other than CR being my number one
Going to chime in with the others that you can't know where it will rank. We've seen barely anything of the acting; it could be a great script but the acting could be hammy or flat. No idea how new Q, Moneypenny and M will pan out and in the case of Q and Moneypenny, they are quite big changes. I don't think the full final script has been leaked so we don't know how it will all piece together. Even though I didn't like Skyfall, who knows, it might all come together with Spectre.
I think it will probably be either a better Skyfall or a worse Skyfall; seeing as it follows on from Skyfall, that's the direct comparison. If it's being made in the same style and sensibilities of Skyfall, I would assume that unless it's majorly messed up, it would rank in a similar place to Skyfall.
I don't expect every new film to be the best Bond ever and I don't think it needs to be. Films can be good without being the best.
To pass the time, I think this is a fun speculative thread
It should at least make top 8, It will be hard to break the top 6 so I'm estimating 6th or 7th.
If they make a Bond movie to the formula (GB at start, theme song in the score, etc) while keeping it fresh and original then it is a good chance of beating GE and OP and being 3rd or 4th
