The weather outside is frightful....

it's really horrid. 9 inches of snow, 25mph winds and the temps are going to drop to 4F....wfe're in the southern part of our country and frankly we don't have a lot of snow removal equipment...

We've had 3 weeks now of snow, sleet, freezing rain and cold as Hell temps...I can't wait for Spring.

So how are things in Europe and the UK?

    How I envy you!

I grew up with plentiful of snow in the winters and love when it's white and frosty outside.

We haven't had any snow in the last 2 winters here - always grey and rainy and it's really depressing.
Enjoy the Big White - it'll soon be gone {[]

What is snow? Heck, I'm beginning to forget what rain looks like. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area and we're in a serious drought. We're most likely going to have mandatory water rationing. Spring is coming soon and yet another mostly dry winter is about to pass. I do hope we start getting significant rainfalls soon or we'll be in even bigger trouble.

When I lived in Wyoming and Colorado snow was not a big problem. Roads were kept clear and you could enjoy winter sports. A little harder here to get around...but we'll do alright. I watched From Russia with Love last night, so everything is better..Daniela Bianchi, ummmm, isn't she pretty?

My border collie is really enjoying romping in the snow, the Yorkie and Pug, not so much.

Well here in the Costa del London ,they said it could hit 12 degrees today and possibly 16 on Sunday ,So this morning ,after I ran waggy (the dog) around the lake , I had breakfast in the garden ,for the 1st time this year .Sitting there with my coffee and homemade marmalade on toast,it was hard to believe ,that the last time I sat out there was 5 months ago ,before I covered up all the garden furniture .now just waiting for the real sun to come out

My project for the new house my wife and I want is an English garden. Of course, our property is south of town in a swamp and we have mosquitoes the size of Messerschmitt's...
I'm pathetic, here we are in winter and now I'm concerned about the skeeters....

Last night I parked my car outside the house and started walking towards the entrance. A smart person would have been careful because the area was was covered with very slippery ice that morning and it had snowed a little that day. I walked quickly and carefree towards the door. My right shoulder took the impact of my180 lbs body on the ice. The fall itself hurt, but the immediate pain settled quickly. I sat down in the sofa and watched "Castle" on DVD and the shoulder didn't feel that bad, but when I tried to take off my sweather I knew I was in trouble. Today I was at the hospital. My shoulder isn't broken, but a muscle was injured (yes, I have muscles!). Now the painkilles have kicked in, but I'm still typing with one hand. :#

The painkiller pills are really quite effective. If the pink elephant in the kitchen could just stand still and not knock over things, I think the weekend will turn out nicely :)

The weekend here in the Costa del London is about 16 degrees ,ive just come back from shopping in Spitafields ,its a trendy area behind the good old city of London .It used to be a Krah -pole ,before all the tattoo beardies took over .We (daughter)and I sat in one of the many ex slum courtyards and had an indian for lunch in the glorious London sunshine .

Yes ,Spitafields is as you say a nice spot now, but re-wind the pages of time ,and you are sitting bang in the epicentre of Jack the ripper country , very different now.
