Had mixed reviews about Bond In Motion in Covent Garden (and failed to get near last attempt due to a fire in Holborn). But since in my birthday tomorrow I vetoed the family and we are having a Bond Day so off to London we go. Drinks and lunch at my club, then off to Bond In Motion in the afternoon and then a breeze around London late afternoon/evening catching a few Bond sites just for good measure.
Oh and the good lady just forked out for a copy of the Bond Archives which I a collecting tomorrow en route (yes that monster of an edition) so a bit of light reading on Sunday as well
May just have found my perfect weekend :007)
I nearly went for an SM300 at the airport yesterday but the vintage look pantina put me off a little - shame it was growing on me but alas I will stick with my vintage SM300 for now on the Omega NATO
Have a good weekend all
Cheers
My name is Bond, Basildon Bond - I have letters after my name!

Hey, we share the same Birthday Bond44! I went last year and had a great time. Many Happy Returns too!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
Many thanks guys and happy birthday (belated) to those also celebrating. I had a nice day in town even if it did start off a little damp.
Picked my James Bond Archives book which is a monster but a truly great book will take a few years to thumb that cover to cover! Also picked up a copy of Everything or Nothing so plenty to keep me busy for a while.
Visited the Bond in Motion which if you have never visited the British Motor museam version then it's great smaller but great. I love the film clips on most walls giving you insight into the vehicle in action. The additional items like passports and models etc I found intriguing and I want to watch the films now to see them in action (already checked out the copter in Goldeneye).
We then dropped into Harrods to check out the Moncler body warmer SPECTRE version man alive size medium I was thinking maybe too large - wrong I am a 38-40 chest but a medium was definitely too small for me! (more like small or extra small) and at £600+ sadly not for me but curiosity satisfied.
Great day but actually I was thinking more and more we should look to have a Bond London meet.
Cheers :007)

Hi Bond44. My girlfriend and I will be in London during SPECTRE's opening week. I'm planning on making a thread in the events section of the forum to see if there are people who would like to watch SPECTRE and maybe visit some locations together.

happy belated birthday. Hope you picked up the James Bond Archives on the way home and didn't have to lug it around all day otherwise you'll end up with arms like Dave Bautista!
