Goldfinger is an easy target for being called "overrated" because it's so highly praised whereas many other good Bond films tend to be ignored.

However, Goldfinger definitely deserves all the acclaim it gets IMO. Brilliant film & novel. -{

I agree with that. It's the first 'big' Bond film, and is what has allowed the film's to continue awas long as they can.

Thunderball is one of my favourite books, although not one of my favourite films.
