With the release of the SPECTRE teaser, I thought I'd ask which is the best Bond trailer. This Die Another Day teaser is my favourite:

    Haha good god that teaser trailer of DAD certainly didn't give away what the movie is REALLY like :)) - They made it seem overly cool there!

    Nothin' beats the Goldeneye teaser. When Brosnan walks out gun barrel style and shoots the "On One Man" into "007", it's just the best.

    That's one of the few I can remember. That part is fantastic. I also like the gun barrel opening of the LALD trailer. I think it was the trailer for TSWLM where Moore breaks the fourth wall. I like that one too.

    I have to say in terms of marketing the old movies had the better posters. The new movies had the better trailers ... (Mainly the Craig ones)

    That's probably why I find it so exciting. I just watched the CR teaser trailer linked above, and the pointless action the shows shows did nothing for me before seeing the movie and does nothing for me now. Acton is great when it is suspenseful. Short clips of people running, shooting and blowing things up when not in any context has no suspense and no meaning. Pretty much all action scenes these days look the same, and the Spectre trailer not showing action does something to set that film apart from other action films.

    It's a good strategy. You see in the news photos of them filming big action scenes, and you want to see what they're filming. They show mysterious footage in the trailer, and you want to know what is going to happen in the film.

    I just hope the action makes sense and isn't just for the sake of action. Skyfall was the first Bond film since the 80s where it didn't feel like they were throwing in over-the-top action sequences just for the hell of it.

    To be honest, I'm not worried. Mendes has delivered with SF so I expect him
    To do the same with Spectre. -{ I too don't want over the top, action just
    Shoehorned in, but rather a good story where the action sequences are organic to
    The story.

    Did they really bother with 'teaser trailers' all those years ago ? It was just the main trailer really...and different versions of it...teaser trailers didn't exist back then...
    And Eon confirmed that it was a conscious and deliberate decision not to use action in this teaser...

    That's one of the main reason to consider it the Best Teaser Ever. Not in Bond History. In Cinema History. :o :D

    I had no idea and when I heard the theme and read "but you can still depend... on one man...", I literally jump on the seat...
