    I too am not a collector, and very unfashionable but I do love watching the Bond Experience videos. -{

    I watched the video and it was great. I liked Craig's reaction to the comparison with Steve MQueen's style.
    Bond: "But who would want to kill me, sir?"
    M: "Jealous husbands, outraged chefs, humiliated tailors . . . the list is endless."

    Thank you as always for posting these David!

    Could you elaborate a little more on his comments re: the Bourne films? Was he agitated at what Damon had said earlier this year?

    Frankly, Bourne can't hold a candle to Bond, and I'm really surprised they made another. IMO it was a mistake, as I heard the movie was horrible. I think Damon is WAY out of his league saying the things that he did (then again, he seems to run his mouth on a regular basis, re: politics, etc.)

    They've basically made the SAME movie four times now! Same music; Damon speed-walking like he can't find a bathroom, whisper-yelling into a cell phone...

    He also said Bourne would: "kick Bond's ass." Really? I'd love to hear what you guys think - I think Craig would drop him like a bag of dirt.

    Thank you for the recent video David, and for all that you do! As I referenced in each thread, both the Royale jacket and the Magnoli glasses are incredible!

    Fantastic video, and thank you as always for putting everything right out on front street for all of us! -{ -{ -{

    Great vlog David.

    One question though. The jacket in the movie looks a lot more tan than the one you are wearing. Is that due to filters used during filming?

    Almost everything in the film looks a lot more tan than it does in person. It's why the blue suits look much more vivid in person than they do in the film. The warm cast over the film makes Morocco feel hotter while giving the London scenes a sort of vintage look.

    That's probably due to the yellow-ish tint of Hoytema's cinematography.

    I'm going to be the devil's advocate here for a second then;

    Is it truly screen accurate if it doesn't look like it does in the film?

    Nothing ever looks the same in person as it does in film, ugly yellow filter or not. Have you noticed how different some of the clothes look on the DVDs before and after the Lowry restoration?

    Another great video David, I'll probably end up ordering the Henry, Do you guys know if it's still on sale?

    It's a topic many screen used prop collectors discuss...to me SA is what was used on set, color and all...not color corrected or color perceived which can range depending on several factors...

    i agree with David, SA is what the prop buyer/costume designer actually purchased, BUT it can lead to frustrations - I love the outfit in the VLOG, probably the best one in all of the DC films (IMO), but i prefer the screen tinted look, over the actual clothing colours, so spending lots of money won't achieve the look i want..so what do we call this 'look'??
  • Matt SMatt S Oh Cult Voodoo ShopPosts: 6,616MI6 Agent
    The true colours are closer to the country outfit in Goldfinger. The true colours also flatter David better than the richer brown in the film does, since the more muted browns go better with David's cool and light summer complexion.

    When a few of us went to BC and they brought out the jacket that we had ordered etc we all did a bit of a double take as it had this weird colour to it (kind of reddish haze - hard to describe).

    We took the jacket away from the store lights and realised under natural light it was the one. Very odd jacket to picture to get the right / real colour!!! It can look too pale or too reddish brown
