Our international senior correspondent, Blair Ballard chats with David Mason of Mason & Sons on their support of the legacy of Bond and brands that are seeing a resurgence.....
Great vlog. David Mason is charming. I saw him in July when we were in London and ordered the mid grey and navy conduit suits, Mr Fish white cocktail and a midnight blue knitted tie.
They arrived in a few weeks and just brilliant.
I wear a suit and tie every day but fun had gone out of getting new suits . That's not to say you cant get nice suits locally in Italian wool etc.
But something about traveling to other side of the world going to Montague square and then waiting for them to arrive ( could have done without the duty!)
I'm going to order a third shortly in fact can't see myself getting anything else now.
Off to lunch tomorrow with a mate who's a judge so will wear the grey suit etc with CJ camberly, omega PO sf Le. Pity looks like rain but will take my Persol 2720 in case it's sunny.
Once again a great VLOG lots of teasers and will be interesting to see what they release in the future. I am sure whatever they release we will hear it here first.
Well done guys!
Cheers :007)
My name is Bond, Basildon Bond - I have letters after my name!
A Throw Back Thursday from 2011 when David and some of his friends decided to explore the bayou of Louisiana, Live and Let Die style and complete with gators!
A new vlog is up! The Watches of James Bond. We explore the journey of one collector's connection to these amazing timepieces and the nostalgic tie to the movies.
David, I hope you will be interviewing the great Dell Deaton regarding his many exclusive finds when it comes to Bond watches. I know that Jizzy Higgy is particularly keen on learning from Dell and expanding his limited knowledge. :v

The SFX/opening CGI could be worked on but a great opening nonetheless.
Still lacks the kick that the previous one had that got me a bit excited to watch your videos, David.
We are experimenting with 'revolving' openings.....we have four new openings coming and our traditional one...you never know which one you might get...

really cool vlog david and coincidentally I had pretty much the same emotional experiences too.
The 1st one i bought was the omega 40th anniversary watch from DAD with my sales bonus , big big moment 15 years ago :007)
I too also have the PO casino royale one but mines the limited edition with a 007 logo seconds hand in orange , came in a black box with no bracelet , my wife bought it for me when we get engaged no wonder I married her.
The spectre one the creme da la creme in my opinion almost cost me a divorce ) but shes over it now.
Just thought I'd share.
The stories that must have been told by some of us to cover our bond spending tracks would make interesting reading
My own personal favourite was telling Mrs coop that Tom Ford was the name of the plumber I used to sort the boiler out in our rental property. To be fair she has always been OK with my watch buying, I tend to sell one these days to fund towards a new purchase, and most of my watch collection was in place before we were together.
LOL.....I think my next vlog will be how to tell your significant other about major purchases...
I follow the 48 hour rule - if you leave the purchase out in the open for 48 hours and she doesn’t notice it you are then allowed to make up any story you want in regards to how you obtained it.
As a bonus I will also give you my 50/50/80 rule, which is if you have a 50/50 chance of getting something right, there is an 80% chance you will get it wrong.

Bond: “I must be dreaming.”
At the beginning of your video there are a couple of prints on the wall behind you that I really like.
Do you know who the artist is and are there more prints available for sale?

The barleycorn tweed sport coat from "Goldfinger"! I'd preorder mine right now from Mason and Sons if I could.
Thanks David. -{

Hoping for a bit more vintage Bond in the years leading up to Bond 25.
Brilliant video as per usual, David.

Wonderful vlog, David. I look forward to future vlogs on how they wear.
Thankfully the bomber isn't in charcoal. My wallet couldn't handle it. The cashmere hoodie seems completely ridiculous and I want it. )
I couldn't find the polo shirt/sweater on their site. Am I missing it somehow?
Great vlog David. Those items look so comfortable and well fitted. May treat myself to something this Christmas ;%

I enjoy and share your relaxed approach to your watch collection. I've got a similar "close enough for my purposes" Goldfinger "prop."
