    Great vlog David!

    My first high end watch was also the Seamaster Professional when I got it 1998 and I too felt like I was "disrespecting" it somehow when I got the SM300 from Spectre. Funny how those emotional attachments work! 'Course I got over that.

    Amazing video David! I loved that you explored the emotional side of it all, as we don't really get to hear about that much. I have yet to get my first Bond watch (working on changing that of course), but I know my first will be the Broz watch, as that was my childhood Bond watch that evokes the most memories of coolness. I liked the bit about the CR Omega and how you connect to it. The CR Omega will be my second, as I also connect with that because that movie got me back into Bond and seeing it with my father (and it instantly being both of our favorites), is one of the most memorable moments of my life. -{

    Funny thing i realised is they all seem to have a Bond or DC connection (he owns SM300 vintage, PO LM LE and a Speedy). This is except for the Blue Ti, but even for that they said he would wear a Ti in SF so I bought this thinking it was the one so still link of sorts and of course my Franken Quartz Black SMP!

    Yes it's quite bizarre really how those connections happen, I was very pleased to see Dc wearing a vintage SM300 on a black leather strap as I too have one, though mine was my first Omega and got me started on this crazy hobby. I get connected to most of my omegas and out of the 9 I have at the moment ( dont worry Bond44 the matte black ceramic po 42mm has been bought and is currently being serviced ready for my birthday in a couple of weeks, so will be back to ten) there is only one I'd contemplate selling ever and that's the le aqua terra. All the le's except the Spectre have been and gone, SkyFall po, qos po twice! The recent po 8900 chronograph I just didn't take to at all, but all the others I have some connection to and memories attached does anyone else say hello to theirs when they get them out the case to wear? ... Or is that just me?
    It was either that.....or the priesthood

    The blue Ti that we have was supposed to be the sf po wasn't it? I'm sure I read some article saying that based the colour of the supposed screen used one on DCs eye colour? I know they ended up using Matt black which was a good enough call.

    I think the signals were misread because I also heard he was wearing a Ti and separately that Omega had flown someone in to match a watch to his blue eyes. In fact that watch was the Blue AT and the Ti was the black special commission PO for the fight scenes. At the time we all put 2 and 2 together and got 5. We read that as the only option was the Blue 8500 Ti. In fact reality was it was two watches for SF the Blue AT and Black PO seemingly in Steel according to the Omega marketing. Leaving us all to shrug off the Ti rumour. We would all have been none the wiser about the P.O. were it not for the Christies auction let it out the bag about the black Ti that same year (many asking are you sure? - they had to confirm for buyers insight before bidding commenced). By that time half of us had bought the Blue 8500 Ti and the other half Black PO 8500 in steel neither being SA (hence my beef with Omega that festered and the swap 5 years later).

    Omega marketed the Black PO 8500 in Steel as the PTS watch and we all bought into that, though they never actually say he wore Steel (their website is cute it says he wore two watches an AT and PO you then go to the PO watch-page itself and they say this watch is Steel which makes you think his was steel as they look identical). They were always going to shift more Steel that’s it’s more expensive Ti brother.

    Ultimately the original P.O. given to Eon for production probably was Steel it was DC who threw a spanner in the works requesting same watch in Ti because Steel was too heavy to fight with. By that time it was probably too late to change the production run from steel to Ti. Afterall both Omega and EON probably thought who would ever know screen used was Ti (famous last words!) and then they go and put one up for public auction!

    Marketing at its best or worst depending on where you sit.

    Great descision to purchase the black P.O. both my 8500’s play tag daily these days on my wrist - you will not regret it! (but will notice one is 75g heavier than the other) :D

    I watched the sunglasses of Bond. Great video. Made me pull out my old brosnan's blue lenses. Wish the were X-ray. I took copious notes. Well done.

    Hey David, loved the video, as per usual. Perhaps for the next one you could do a “shoes of James Bond” one, perhaps with emphasis on the Daniel Craig-era Bond footwear?

    Was that the Patterson you recently got? If so, I agree, it fits well on you!
    Looking forward to the video but I can't help but think that there weren't all that many news but I'll just have to watch it to jog my memory.

    David, I was wondering if you'd ever do a collection tour (or videos like back to Skyfall only for the Brosnan era, Moore etc.) with what you currently own and what you once owned but it no longer part of your collection. I do remember a Brosnan stand with a three-piece suit in one of the Bond Lifestyle blogposts that you made on CR and you have mentioned that you let go of the Dior Homme and screen-used Tom Ford harrington (and the Parkers that I use frequently). Should make for an interesting video!

    I also hope Jany Temime returns for Bond 25. First and foremost I love what she's done for the character stylistically, but she's also extremely generous in sharing information with us regarding brands and such.
