Surely all of the Brosnan movies are better than the pitiful Diamonds Are Forever movie.
NOT if you like your Bond full of clever dialogue & funny situations MORE than semi-serious action and somewhat more restricted plot holes.

I apologise if I hurt another's feelings on the subject, I was a Kid in the 90's, but even then I knew the Brosnan movies were not in the same league as the 60's/70's/80's films.

No, that's your opinion. I'd say that GE looked a more expensive production than LTK, for example, and (most of) the casting was well handled with Judi Dench heading that list. The Bonds of the 90s were specifically aimed at reviving the series through being crowd-pleasers, and succeeded in that aim 100%.
Hello again, I see a few differing opinions on here and that is good, it is what my posting was trying to do. I accept that there is some good in the Brosnan movies, GoldenEye in particular, also there's alot of well intended storyline in The World Is Not Enough, but in retrospect with the Craig films doing similar storylines much more effectively it comes across as a poor comparison. There are moments in the other two pictures as well, but on the whole it's the weakest era.
Higgins, I've seen the movies enough times in the past 20 years to know them inside out.
I also agree that Arnolds two Craig scores are so much better than anything 97-02.
Of course everyone has their own opinion. It's what makes this forum so diverse. I think what many will struggle with though is your use of the word 'hate' in much of your post. Your second post goes on to suggest some positivity for the era so perhaps your first one would have gained greater 'respect' for your argument rather than the 95% negativity. It would have been a much more rounded and thought provoking post in any case.
Although the Brosnan era suffers in some areas and yes many of those films sit near the bottom of my ranking, there are still some great moments and sequences. Brosnan did his best with what he was dealt. I think most forum members would agree with some of your points on DAD, Christmas Jones and TND shortcomings, but to say the movies are hateful..!? I personally don't hate any Bond film or any Bond actor. They all have their place

I enjoy opinions different than mine. That's why I joined this site. Even though I may not agree, I actually enjoy reading people's opinions as to why they like MR and DAF more than OHMSS.
I'm pretty much okay with opinions of all kind as long as they're not driven by bias. Having a preference after exploring something open-mindedly is good. But if it's some weird closed-minded bias (aka, ranking all the films from one actor in the top 10 and having all the films from another actor at the bottom), then I don't really take that kind of opinion seriously at all.
