There is plenty of tongue in cheek humour on AJB, opinions written in hopefully
A light hearted manner ;) , to aid a bit of friendly, brotherly banter. :D sure the
Many negative threads have grated on some who love the films, and so far as far
As I can tell the responses have all been good natured, and humorous. :)) long may
    This continue. {[]
We all have different opinions, which is fine, and it's also perfectly fine for members
To defend their opinions. To do so doesn't make you a " nodding dog" or a " yes man"
Rather someone with an opposing view. ;) so members who " Hate" Several actors or
Films please continue, just as the supporters of these actors and films will carry on defending them. :))
There are several Roger Moore fans who regularly stand their ground against the odd tide
Of anti Moore posts, the same for defenders of AVTAK or DAD or MR.
I'm just hoping no one takes any of this to heart and feels picked on, and perhaps responds
In a less than friendly manner, as we're only talking films here, and to use A similar argument
I don't think we'd want to end up with those of us who happily defend the series. feeling they'd have to hold back on their defence for fear of offending.

You speak for me as well, my friend! {[]

But if it's some weird closed-minded bias (aka, ranking all the films from one actor in the top 10 and having all the films from another actor at the bottom), then I don't really take that kind of opinion seriously at all.

    Hmmmm.....even if it's a genuine, heart-felt opinion? Isn't that a possibility?

I did way up all of the pros and cons before my initial post and I honestly do consider the Brosnan movies worse than the other ones, DAF, TMWRGG and MR are all above GE.

I understand that others will love these films but for me, if I want to watch a Bond movie I never ever ever choose to watch a Brosnan one.

If there was a thread in praise of the Brosnan 007 films and his take on the character then I simply wouldn't post in it.

A perfectly valid POV, though I don't agree (I've been watching TWINE tonight, and thoroughly enjoying it, for example). While I do agree with parts of your initial posting (the GE score is one) I do not think that Sophie Marceau is wooden but rather one of the best leading ladies in a Bond film ever. And one more thing: the invisible car in DAD was an Aston Martin, not a BMW.

I guess I must be a really bad judge of acting talent because, I have read
A few posts about actors in the Bonds, Lazenby for example. Who a few have
Said come across as wooden, yet I've never noticed, they all seemed fine to me. ;)

It's a possibility. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I like to avoid ideological extremism.

Screw World Peace. It would kill the 007 franchise.

Yeah, just what the heck is "wooden acting" all about? Yes, I've seen some movies worthy of the crapper like the cheaper zombie movies shown during Undead Week on cable TV, but in a Bond movie? I've yet to see even the most smallest roles being done "wooden." I guess we have some members here who are voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences :))

I'm certain some will point out that Connery would have done the whole
" Not being in it " so much better than Moore ! :))

Sean Connery's diet in the Diamonds Are Forever movie.

2 extra large Big Mac's, 2 extra large servings of fries, a giant vat of onion rings and a bottle of Don Perignon '53.

    Great tastes, indeed.

I personally thought GoldenEye was very good, I enjoyed it.

But then I thought Brosnan's tenure went slowly downhill, and each film became worse than the one which preceded it. Before finally descending into the ridiculous with Die Another Day.

I also thought Brosnan was "passable" but rather forgettable as Bond, he is the one I always forget about.
