Anyone heard of the above. One appeared for sale but never heard of it personally.
SD made an unofficial copy of the Bat grappling gun as used by Keaton in Batsy One...."where does he get those toys?"...knowing SD as I did, down the back of the SD sofa!

SD's copy of Keatons gun was close, but no cigar. It was impossible for them to use the filming prop at that time as I had it They used a resin stunt from Returns as their base, which was pretty much the same thing.
Yes, Steve did make a Batarang as well as the grappling gun.
The Batarang was completely resin as was the first static version of the grappling gun.
Steve 100% scratchbuilt it using reference photos and screen captures I obtained for the project.
He never had access to the prop...stunt or otherwise.
The 2nd version was part resin and part metal. it disconnected in the center, had a folding grip and a removable brass headed dart.
A 3rd, more accurate version was eventually made but I had broken away from him by that time.
I still own both the resin and 2nd Gen of the above replicas
