SD made an unofficial copy of the Bat grappling gun as used by Keaton in Batsy One...."where does he get those toys?"...knowing SD as I did, down the back of the SD sofa! :D

SD's copy of Keatons gun was close, but no cigar. It was impossible for them to use the filming prop at that time as I had it :D They used a resin stunt from Returns as their base, which was pretty much the same thing.

Yes, Steve did make a Batarang as well as the grappling gun.

The Batarang was completely resin as was the first static version of the grappling gun.

Steve 100% scratchbuilt it using reference photos and screen captures I obtained for the project.
He never had access to the prop...stunt or otherwise.

The 2nd version was part resin and part metal. it disconnected in the center, had a folding grip and a removable brass headed dart.

A 3rd, more accurate version was eventually made but I had broken away from him by that time.

I still own both the resin and 2nd Gen of the above replicas

...and YES!! That IS the size of Steve's couch.
