FS: James Bond Ties by Tom Ford (Skyfall and QOS) and something rare

Hey everybody,

Selling five ties from my collection:

1. Skyfall PTS Istanbul tie

2. Skyfall 3 tone London Tie

3. Skyfall blue London tie

4. QOS Bolivia tie

5. Special Skyfall tie made for production but not used. When I ran my Skyfall MTO with Tom Ford, they sent me all ties made for the movie, including one which was ultimately not used by the production team. Will post this one too.

They're all new and unworn.

Putting up pics this weekend.

Hey everybody,

Here are the pics:

1. 3 tone London tie - NW Sleeve. SOLD!

2. London tie 2 - NWT with some minor pulls. SOLD!

3. Skyfall PTS Istanbul Tie - NIB



4. QOS Bolivia tie - NWOT. Has some very minor pulls. If you recall, the QOS ties are very delicate.



5. Skyfall mystery tie: New with box. This is the story:

When I did the Skyfall tie MTO, I did it through TF directly. They provided me with the screen used ties, as well as this one. When i asked about it, my contact at TF told me it was provided for the movie as well. In all honesty, this tie is much better looking than the other ties. I guess it wasn't used by production. it's a deep plum colour and has a great heft. Reluctant to sell due to the rarity. I know of only one AJBer who has this tie.

Did you buy it off the shelf or was it one of the ones TF made, it's much wider than the screen used one by quite a bit? Didn't realise they did a wider version of it too.

EDIT: Just looking carefully at your other SF ties, they are all wider. Wonder if the reference number would be different on those compared to the slim ones they used in the film.

The Istanbul tie is from the Skyfall MTO I ran a while back. TF told me they were down to the last bolt of fabric, so I didn't push them to modify the width (I wanted to lock down my order ASAP). Slimming the tie can be done after the fact (e.g. tie crafters).

On that note, after I did the skyfall MTO I reached out to TF again last year about the QOS ties. We've known for a long time that the fabric was finished, until...

I got an email from TF (they even cc'd the factory!) where I was quoted a price for a full run QOS MTO...

But just as I was about the place my order, got an email a few days later informing me that there was no more fabric! Oh well. The hunt continues.
