Vue Cinemas - Best Of Bond

Vue Cinemas in the UK are screening a Best Of Bond season in the new Sony 4K format. I myself have booked the double bill of Live And Let Die and The Spy Who Loved Me at Vue cinema, Westfield, Stratford, London (June 21st Sunday).........the McCartney and Wings theme tune in 4K...sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it! :)

I've had the emails about these screenings...but when I click the link it just goes to the normal Vue site...how much are tickets ? And at what times do they start ?
    Thanks for any info - depending upon price I'll try and make them all -{

Go to the Vue cinema site and hit the drop down menu " Find A Film" and it will list all screenings under Best Of Bond. All screenings for all dates start at 2pm. Hope to see you at LALD & TSWLM screening (I'm in the VIP seats costing £14.75) Seats still available last time I looked!!

Thanks...I'll try what you suggested...but I've only used my phone on the site so far and it doesn't show any of what you described...don't think I'll make your cinema though, it'd be a long car journey every week :# :D

Thats a shame Sir Miles...I'm lucky really, I'm only a 40 minute train ride from the cinema..and I'm two minds whether to catch the Casino Royale & Skyfall double bill because every film has been given a Dolby 7.1 mix but I don't know whether that will sound better than the films original DTS mix? maybe someone could enlighten me? :#

Just checked out the Vue site - and these aren't playing at my local cinema ! Nearest one is Manchester...not too far away...just makes it more awkward - and expensive ! :#

I imagine they would have shown the times for them in August by now though.

I'm booked in for the Roger Moore bill at Picadilly. By the look of the seating plan it's not a massive screen hmmm

Same with Westfield, although I'm wondering whether that has something to do with the new 4K projection system? But another plus is that the re-mixed Dolby 7.1 sound might sound better in a more enclosed environment?

I have no idea about that. I did notice that the Connery screenings are in the 2nd largest screen. Man I wished they were showing YOLT that would have been so good on the big screen. Wonder which screen the Daltons will be in haha

LOL :)) No comment on that one!! I'm seeing the Roger Moore double bill as well and just itching to hear what the LALD theme tune will sound like with the re-mixed sound system!!

It certainly was! I saw it on a Cinerama (or possibly Cinemascope- it was forty or more years ago!) screen and it was spectacular in the best sense.

Just seen LALD in 4K (Didn't stay for TSWLM) and although the picture was impressive the sound was ridiculously quiet!! I just hope they play Spectre in this format in the I-Max system with sound turned up!!

I went with a relative to see the Roger Moore films and sat up front (2nd row)to get the BIG SCREEN effect.
It was great to see everything close-up and not TV size.
The LALDie crocs and speedboat chase and the TSWLMe ski jump off the cliff with union jack parachute and white Lotus
off the pier into the sea. Great speedy filming of helicopter harassing the Esprit.
It was for 4 hours which meant 2 loo breaks-and the cinema was half-full.

I'll skip Tim and see Pierce and Daniel on Sundays 4 and 5.

    Bleuville.

I just came back from the Living Daylights and Licence to Kill double bill in Swansea Vue. I arrived 15-20 mins early but the ques were HORRENDOUS, there are 10 tills but only 4 or 5 were operating but when I was next in line there was this family of 6 or 8 going to see Minions. The mum was sorting out the prices (which took about 4 or 5 mins) and after that she ordered hot dogs, large drinks and nachos for all 5 of the little kids which literally took almost a half hour which was really p*ssing me off because all I wanted was a ticket that's all, no large popcorns, drinks or nachos, JUST ONE TICKET! But then finally when I got into the screening I missed the first 15 or so minuets (The scene where Necros was fighting in the kitchen with butchers equipment was the point when I started watching it) which made me really gutted because I wanted to see the opening scene and credits on the big screen. But never the less I still enjoyed watching both films on the big screen and was surprised seeing the full uncut version of LTK after it was censored for it's original UK release, the cinema was half full and everyone laughed at Bonds one liners in both movies. Next week when I see Goldeneye and World is Not Enough double bill, I'm defiantly going 30-40 mins early. I'm looking forward to seeing the audiences reactions during the "Xenia" scenes in GE ;)

Sadly it's all to save money on staff. :# I now buy my tickets on line
to collect at the ticket machine. Which so far has worked well for me.

Sounds like a utter nightmare, I had similar happen in the VUE in Westfield and missed 15mins of a film

Imagine that happening for SPECTRE X-(

I mostly buy the Tickets online. And sneak in Food and Drink, as its much cheaper. There's a handy Off License a Stones Throw away from Guildford Odeon :)
