Well today I am losing an object of desire, as my daughter gets married, but I am gaining a son in law, so not all bad -{
Congrats AA - how did the big day go? Did you make a speech? -{
It was a brilliant day, was joined by friends and family and ...... yes did make a speech and everybody laughed in the right places.
Thank you to everybody for your comments, it is most kind of you -{
Just ordered a Sony A77 camera, I've lusted after one for a while
and finally found one at a great price. next I'm hoping to get
A Sony A7000 ( or whatever, they're going to call it) the next level
Up to the Sony A6000 mirrorless compact camera, of which I've
Become a big fan. :x brilliant images from such a tiny camera. -{

You may recall ,the other week it was Mrs AS 50th birthday ,and a lot of effort planning/secrets were involved to make sure her big day,went off like a well oiled Higgins watch .Well yesterday I came home to find a nice prezzie waiting for me
da da daahh
DAH DAH DAAHHHH
now between you and me ,I have been putting hints ,about these boots , and she did ask ,sarcastically ,"oh I bet you want them because James Bond wears them " to wich I re-torted "don't be silly darling the film isn't out yet and no one knows what he will be wearing 8-) .And now to make matters worse ,we are going back to Cape Verde ,when the film is being released :(The shoes came from the C@J store in Canary wharf by the way .
I remember when a pal was cheecking my collection and discovered the OHMSS Playboy magazine.
"Those where the t*ts of my youth" direct quote.
You should have seen my wife's face when it showed up in the mail when I bought it on ebay.
talking of t*ts of my youth ,I was driving along the other day ,and a red Countach S was parked up by the park gates, now I think every boy had a Lamborghini countach s poster in their bed room back then
Oddly perhaps, I'm moving away from full frame sensors, I've sold most of my
Nikon equipment ( only kept the D610 with a 24-70mm lens) as I'm now a big
Fan of mirror less cameras, ( the Sony A6000 with a Zeiss 16-70mm lens) is now
My weapon of choice. so small and light, but with an amazing spec !
On a job I can now carry three of them one with a super wide ( 10-18 mm) and the
Other with a ( 50mm F1.8) all three weigh less than one full frame camera . infact it's
Like traveling back in time, to when photo journalists would have used range finder
cameras.
