I can agree with that, most men I think feel Craig isn't " Handsome" in the
traditional Hollywood sense but Women do think he's sexy. I guess it comes
down to that old adage of " Animal Magnetism " , something you can't put
your finger on .......... .... Although many dream of putting their finger there. )

Craig, in the films and promotional material, is dressed by a fashion designer, given a make-up job to accentuate his features, a hollywood-grade haircut, and the direction is engineered to portray a vertical slice of who he is supposed to be.
Point is, you put Craig and Brosnan (at the same age, or hell, even today) with a plain t-shirt on the beach, and Brosnan is more handsome.

Exactly. Like I said, Eon wanted to engage the younger audience. They wanted to make James Bond into a colorful video game full of explosions and gunshots. But technology at that time (PS1/N64) wasn't able to create experiences with such fidelity. I don't want to say Brosnan's films were without merit - rather they had lots of merit, but just no cohesion or sense of direction.
Craig really did screw things up for Brosnan's popularity though. When Brosnan was around, it was hard to imagine any actor being more handsome and suave then him. And then, Casino Royale came in with a hard left hook.
The good thing about having a new actor as Bond is it brings enough of a shift in the series so that each group of films they are in are unique to them in a way. For me, it makes it easier to accept their virtues and faults in the role. As far as an actor's popularity, I suppose the life of it depends on the times - different generations favor a particular actor. Craig is the current Bond so he is the favorite of the millennials generation. The actors who had the most films - Connery, Moore, Brosnan - all had their place in the sun. Connery will always be one of the iconic favorites because he started the whole series and was such a unique bit of casting - he made the mold. However, tastes change so the flavor at the moment is Craig.

They display a degree of urbane sophistication and cosmopolitan charm that makes them seem totally at ease in tuxedos in lush settings. Errol Flynn? Yes, despite his number of action films as Robin Hood or sea going adventurers or western heroes, his appearance whispered "gentleman with a cocktail in a tux". I suppose it's why he was such a unique leading man in his action films.
