How do stuntmen drive from the driving cage, above the car ?

Probably a stupid question, I know but .......
.... Looking at some of the filming for Spectre, I've seen the cars with the driver
Above in the driving cage, although it never struck me until today. How is it
Connected to stearing, brakes etc ?
I've tried to find a few videos about it but no luck so far, any help would be
appreciated. {[]

The tankers in LTK were driven from a compartment in the back of the cab.

Didn't they do something like this with the remote control BMW car in TND? I think they drove it from the boot or something if memory serves.

I thought for TND, the drove it from a lowered back seat. With a small
TV screen to see the road ?

Thanks Mr Martini -{ seems to be as many have said no physical
Connect but hydraulics etc. Seems very difficult to drive.
It was just one of those questions, I'd seen them on behind the scenes
Clips etc, but it never struck me until yesterday, how they actually worked.

You're probably right. It's been years since I watched some of the documentaries on TND that I recorded back in 1997 so I'm probably not remembering things properly. I thought it was worth mentioning though.
