Tom Ford Spectre Clothing Announcement and Discussion (SPOILERS)

The Bond ExperienceThe Bond Experience Newtown, PAPosts: 5,490Quartermasters
Needed to start a thread separate from the Spectre Clothing from Filming one because this one is going to be robust on its own, and there are many components to it:

I have obviously edited my entries to this thread...

We can reveal that the Solden jacket (nylon front blouson) and trousers (Sky pants) are by Tom Ford, as well as an ivory colored tuxedo and tuxedo shirt, a polo shirt which will be seen in the Morocco scenes, three different dress shirts including one with turn-back cuffs, two formal coats (for Rome and London), four neckties, a bow-tie and pocket square. Bond will also wear the Tom Ford O'Connor suit (two and three-piece suits) and Tom Ford Windsor three-piece suit.

So, why are all the pictures gone? It seems that although some people at Tom Ford had the best intentions in alerting us early causing an organic grass roots movement of support for the brand and items, no one had any idea how seismic we Bond fans can be...and it may not have been synergistic with the marketing momentum that Tom Ford corporate wanted to create. Regardless, we will all be getting some wonderful products very soon AND we can discuss them but we must do so without swatches, line drawings, and other details.

I AM quite sure once product comes in we will have LOADS of pics, reviews and videos to bask in...

ALSO, anyone that has posted pictures of the line drawings etc PLEASE edit them out of your postings...thank you...

So, here we go…Tom Ford contacted us to give exclusive information regarding their James Bond line of clothing from Spectre. Yep, you read that correctly…this is the big one, 007….and I am sharing it here on AJB before the rest of the world knows SO, release the hounds!

First, to make this easy for people that want to purchase any of the pieces we have a one contact go to in John Guidry. John has been very engaged with the Bond collectors and was instrumental in connecting TBE with this news. He knows the styles, colors, and names of each piece. Email him below for quickest service:

Now before we get to the pieces, I must report that all of the JB Spectre pieces are extremely limited…and I don’t mean 5000 pieces limited, or 500 pieces limited…I mean REALLY limited. There will be limited sizes for each piece and once they are gone, I am told they will be gone. This isn’t to scare anyone but it is to give fair warning. Also, because of my agreement with Tom Ford I cannot post prices or how limited the numbers are but John will be able to answer those questions for you. I CAN answer questions about the pieces themselves as far as I know, AND I will be getting more information, conducting interviews, and YES there will be dedicated videos with some cool surprises…

The first piece is the O’Connor Suit, which they offer in Wool Silk Herringbone Track stripe, Super 110s Sharkskin, Prince of Whales, and Left hand twill-

The next is the three piece Windsor, notch lapel in Super 110s medium herringbone-

The next is an O'connor but a three piece notch this time-

The next two pieces MIGHT be of interest to people...the Bond Solden pants and jacket! Called the Sky pants and the Nylon front blouson-

Bit of a SPOILER alert next.......Bond Moroccon Polo

Bond Tuxedo/Evening jacket in ivory Windsor gross grain

    Bond Tuxedo pants, wool mohair

Bond tuxedo shirt, pliss pastron, french cuff, slim fit evening shirt

Now these next three are very cool...Bond day shirts that pay homage to other films with their slight nods...
Rome, Mexico, and the one that has Dr. No cuffs! Come in white poplin, light blue poplin, and medium blue poplin

The formal coats of Bond....single breasted with mohair collar, and Rome double breasted in brushed wool

    And of course ties.............

    Bond's bowtie-

    And Rome pocket square-

I will try to add some more color detail tonite....

Great detective work David , :)
By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

OH, one VERY important note that I did not mention...mentioned that the TIC patterned pants seen in the poster are from an existing three piece suit...I believe it can be ordered as a separate!

Im still head scratching that it aint the Moncler lol The details were practically so identical - I'm guessing Jany sent them the Moncler (which was a Harrods exclusive) to reproduce!!

I guess (hopefully) this kinda confirms the Solden jacket as Matchless if there Instagram was correct

The OTHER jacket, which I call the Mr White Jacket (for obvious reasons) I suspect is Matchless...

Great stuff David! I'm certainly excited for the return of the cocktail cuffs, as we've already seen in the Rome photos. I've been wearing cocktail cuffs for years because Connery and Moore wore them.

Did they tell you what colour the herringbone Windsor suit is? It looked like dark navy in most of the photos to me, but other people think charcoal or black.

I'm disappointed to see that the ivory dinner jacket has two buttons and grosgrain facings on the lapels. I saw this at Neiman Marcus, but I was hoping Bond would wear a more classic ivory dinner jacket with a single button and self-faced lapels. This is too flashy for Bond.

Thanks for all this David. I find this all very interesting. Can't wait for the videos. So another TF item is a repro of another design like the OP Airman/FT108s from QoS. Most all TF products are well beyond my price range, but this is fascinating. (Oh btw, the first three piece suit you show has peak, not notch, lapels).

    Matt, the Windsor is black....

Also, I am excited that Matt and I will likely be combining forces for some intriguing upcoming postings...I can't think of many websites that have as much credibility and regard as Matt's so excited about the potential...
