I ordered 5 ties thinking it included the bow tie but guess not. Then of course there is the Morocco tie!! 7 different ties??? Must be a record, crazy lol

M: Bond, you're late to the briefing.

Bond: Sorry, Sir. Had to stop home and change my Tuesday morning tie for the Tuesday afternoon one.

Ohh, and it's actually a 3-roll-2!! Very nice. I was expecting it to be a 2-button like what TF offered as the Skyfall suits, while we all know they were 3-roll-2 in the film. Glad to see they got that right this time around. Thanks for posting!

    Kind regards,
    Craig

Beautiful piece, to be sure. But just not worth $1,000 in my book. I hope some of you can get this one.

    Kind regards,

Cool. Def not the sky blue polo for sure from that new TV spot!!!!

Agreed. You can definitely see an overlap of fabric (implying there's a button stance) on the light blue polo from the German TV spot. The TF definitely does not have this. And it looks like there's quite a deep "V" in these, well-suited for someone of DC's physique. But not so much for me. LOL

    Kind regards,
    Craig

DBS, did you say "Rayon"? Really? $1000 for a rayon polo shirt? :s
  • DBSDBS Los Angeles, CAPosts: 1,015MI6 Agent
Apparently, it's made from a cotton viscose blend. Not sure why the Lookbook had it listed as "Rayon Pique Polo." I'm not familiar with fabrics, so this is all Greek to me. I just know the price is heavily inflated for a number of reasons.

Thanks, DBS. Cotton/Viscose... viscose comes from cellulose and rayon is made from it. I wonder what the ratio of cotton to viscose is. Is it even sea island cotton (for the Bond connection)? Regardless, I'd be stunned if the cost of manufacture even breaks $50.

No problems! This windowpane suit was roughly the same price as the grey track strip suit.

This one stands out by far among all the Specter suits.
I also picked up the SA tie and shirt which is a lite blue french cuff with a new longer stay-less (no plastic) collar

If I had that much to spend on a suit, I would get the grey track stripe. The pattern is just special.

The windowpane is beautiful too, but a bit bold for my personal taste.

Did they have them all on display Kadd? And out of interest are they pushing / promoting the collection as SPECTRE instore or is it simply just a case of us nutters knowing

Good point, if you wear the windowpane suit too often people definitely will notice and you become "the guy with the windowpane suit" !

In the London store they have a "Spectre" / Bond section for all the clothes, except the polos which are in a different room. So yes all on display.

So Spectre sunglasses, ties, special Bond shirts with cocktail cuffs, suits, coats, Ivory dinner jacket, Solden jacket and pants - all on the same rack and display case.

There was a charcoal check (three piece?) suit there as well, which I've not really seen mentioned here, or appear in any footage so far.

When I went the sales staff actively promoted it. So you don't need to go hunting for the items in the store.

I was in for my fitting this morning and they were putting up the display of the Wales with shirt and tie.
They are aware obviously of the Bond line but no signs displayed anywhere. I got to see and feel all of them and picked the Wales because I have nothing else like it and of all the Specter suits everyone there seemed to agree it was the stand out.

I asked the salesman to send a pic of the display, I'll post it when it comes in.

    Nutter Henry out.

The PoW windowpane definitely is unique. Jealous of your purchase!

Picked up the ties today for $250/each ($220 on the original quote in the e-mail). Happy with the purchase as I need some basic ties, but some more intricate patterns would have been nice as they all look the same but in different colors.

Got to see the Spectre collection, the windowpane is really something. There was also an interesting check suit too. The Solden jacket looked fantastic in person, but expensive for what it is. Heard they are selling the fastest out of all the items in the collection however!
